Today we’d like to introduce you to Senetra & Jackie Harris.
Senetra & Jackie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We’re Jackie and Senetra Harris, founders of Together Worx Marriage Coaching. Married for 29+ years, we know firsthand that marriage isn’t always easy. We got married young—with no premarital training and very little understanding of what marriage would truly require. Life quickly taught us through the hard knocks: two military careers, raising children, constant stress, and the painful reality of conflict and poor communication. At times, resentment built up, and we honestly weren’t sure if we would make it.
But God’s grace held us together. Through counseling, coaching, and faith, we began to rebuild what felt broken. We learned how to resolve conflict, communicate with love, and forgive deeply. Over time, we not only stayed afloat, but we grew stronger—together.
That experience lit a fire in us. We saw too many couples who started out with love and excitement, only to drift into separation or divorce. More than 20 years ago, we began sharing with other couples what had worked in our own marriage. One couple led to another, and soon we saw common struggles: communication breakdowns, infidelity, resentment, power struggles, mismatched faith journeys, and unmet needs. But we also saw something else—hope.
We discovered that with the right tools and the right perspective, marriages don’t just have to survive—they can thrive. That’s why we pursued certification through the Fisher Relationship Coach Academy. Now, as FRCA-certified coaches, we combine years of lived wisdom with proven, practical tools that couples can put into action immediately.
At Together Worx, you don’t just meet with one coach—you sit with two. As a husband-and-wife team, we bring both the male and female perspective to every conversation. That means you’ll feel heard, understood, and guided from both sides of the marriage equation.
Our coaching isn’t about giving pep talks—it’s about equipping you with strategies that work: how to resolve conflict, restore intimacy, rebuild trust, and rekindle joy. Whether you’re newly married, decades in, or somewhere in between, we walk with you through the valleys and celebrate with you on the mountaintops.
Helping marriages isn’t just something we do—it’s who we are. And nothing brings us greater joy than watching couples reconnect, grow, and flourish into lasting partnerships that reflect love at its very best.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest challenges for us early on was learning the business side of coaching. Helping couples comes naturally—we’ve been walking with people in relationships for years—but running a business is a different skill set. There’s marketing, systems, pricing, scheduling, and all the behind-the-scenes pieces you don’t always see. We had to remind ourselves that it’s okay to learn that part step by step. What’s helped is staying focused on why we started—helping couples reconnect and move forward in healthy ways. As we’ve grown, we’ve learned that you can build the business thoughtfully while still enjoying the heart of the work. For us, it’s been about progress, not perfection, and staying rooted in serving couples well.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Together Worx Marriage Coaching is a husband-and-wife coaching practice focused on helping couples move from tension to teamwork. We work with couples who feel stuck in recurring conflict, emotional distance, or unresolved resentment and want practical tools to reconnect. Our approach blends real-life experience, professional coaching training, and a deep respect for each couple’s story. We’re not about quick fixes—we’re about helping couples build healthier patterns, stronger communication, and lasting connection.
We specialize in helping couples navigate conflict in a healthy way, repair emotional disconnection, and rebuild trust. Many of the couples we work with love each other but feel misunderstood, exhausted, or stuck in the same cycles. We’re known for creating a safe, non-judgmental space where both partners feel heard, while also providing clear, practical tools couples can actually use outside of sessions. Our work focuses on communication, emotional safety, and helping couples move forward together instead of staying stuck in the past.
What sets Together Worx apart is that we coach as a team—both as professionals and as a married couple with nearly three decades of shared life experience. We don’t coach from theory alone; we coach from lived experience, ongoing training, and years of walking alongside couples. We balance empathy with accountability and warmth with practical guidance. Couples often tell us they appreciate that we’re real, relatable, and focused on progress—not perfection.
We’re most proud of the trust couples place in us during some of their most vulnerable moments. Brand-wise, we’re proud that Together Worx represents safety, integrity, and hope. Couples know they can show up honestly without fear of judgment. We’ve been intentional about building a brand that reflects who we are—authentic, grounded, and committed to walking with couples through both hard conversations and meaningful growth.
We want people to know that Together Worx is a place where couples don’t have to have it all figured out to get help. Whether a couple is feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or simply wants to strengthen their relationship, our services are designed to meet them where they are. We offer everything from introductory conversations to focused coaching sessions and deeper intensives, all centered on helping couples reconnect, communicate better, and move forward with clarity and confidence. Our heart is to help couples do the work that leads to healthier, stronger marriages.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
In marriage coaching, you quickly learn that couples aren’t looking for someone who has all the answers—they’re looking for someone they can trust. You don’t need to know everything; you need to know enough to help one couple take their next healthy step. Early on, you’re not building a brand—you’re building trust and safety. Your training matters, but your lived experience, empathy, and ability to create connection matter just as much. Confidence comes through practice, presence, and walking with couples consistently, not trying to be perfect.
