My journey into the travel industry started with a transformative experience while studying abroad in Barcelona. During that time, I traveled extensively across Europe. These adventures opened my eyes to the power of travel—immersing oneself in different cultures, trying new foods, and meeting new people.
I found that I naturally gravitated towards the detailed planning required to make the most of each trip, and I fell in love with the process. This passion for crafting memorable and seamless travel experiences for myself soon extended to helping friends and family. It became clear that I wanted to turn this passion into a career.
As a seasoned travel advisor and globetrotter, I have honed my skills over the years, developing deep industry knowledge and building strong relationships with suppliers throughout the world. My guiding principle has always been that no request is too large and no detail too small. Whether it’s a quick hotel booking or a detailed itinerary, I put client relationships front and center, ensuring every trip is personalized and unforgettable.
The early months of 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, were challenging yet pivotal. I spent that time rerouting clients, securing refunds, and arranging postponements, which allowed me to see the immense value of flexibility in travel planning. This period gave me the impetus to start CuratedCoast, my own agency, with a focus on empowering clients in the post-pandemic travel landscape.
Today, I take immense pride in creating seamless and personalized travel experiences. Whether it’s finding the perfect date night restaurant or planning an extensive multi-country itinerary, my goal is to have the answers to your questions before you even ask. Travel is about stepping outside your comfort zone, and I’m here to make that transition as smooth and rewarding as possible.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to where I am today has certainly not been smooth, particularly with the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. As a travel advisor, the pandemic was an unprecedented disruption that turned the entire travel industry upside down. In the early months of 2020, I spent countless hours rerouting clients, ensuring they received refunds or helping them postpone their plans. This period was incredibly stressful, as the situation was constantly changing, and there was a lot of uncertainty about the future of travel.
However, these challenges also presented an opportunity for growth and innovation. The pandemic gave me the opportunity to start my own travel agency, CuratedCoast, with my best friend turned business partner. Building a new business during such a turbulent time was no easy feat. There were moments of doubt and financial strain, and I had to adapt quickly to the new normal of travel restrictions and safety protocols.
Despite these struggles, the experience strengthened my resolve and deepened my understanding of the industry. It taught me the importance of being adaptable and proactive, and it reinforced my commitment to providing personalized and seamless travel experiences for my clients. The challenges I faced have made me a more resilient and resourceful travel advisor, better equipped to handle whatever comes my way in the future.
