Hi Nora, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a mother of three daughters, an immigrant, and an entrepreneur. I was born and raised in Venezuela, and seven years ago I arrived in the United States with my family, a strong work ethic, and a deep desire to build a better future for my children.
Like many immigrant women, I worked multiple jobs in the cleaning industry. Those experiences taught me discipline, resilience, and the value of hard work. However, deep inside, I knew I wanted mor, not just for myself, but for my family and for the people I could one day help. I didn’t want to simply provide a service; I wanted to create something meaningful.
Becoming an entrepreneur was not part of a perfect plan, it was born from necessity, faith, and the desire to grow. As a mother, I wanted to show my daughters that it is possible to build something with integrity, purpose, and love. Over time, the idea of creating my own company became a mission: to bring quality, trust, and care into every home, and to create opportunities for others along the way.
Today, Be Clean Carolinas is a family-owned business that I proudly run alongside my daughter Jennifer, our CEO. This year, we celebrate three years in business. What started as a dream rooted in sacrifice and perseverance has become a company built on values, trust, and the belief that when you work with purpose and heart, everything else follows.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but it has been a deeply meaningful one. One of the biggest challenges has been starting over in a new country while being a mother of three, a wife, and an immigrant. Everything felt unfamiliar, the culture, the business environment, and especially the language.
Not speaking English fluently at the beginning was intimidating and often made even simple things feel overwhelming. Communicating, building confidence, and navigating daily situations required extra patience, courage, and perseverance. At the same time, I was balancing work, family life, and the dream of building something of my own.
Another major challenge was earning trust in an industry where you are invited into very personal spaces. Opening the doors of a home to someone you don’t know is never easy, and I always understood the responsibility that came with that trust. Through consistency, honesty, and genuine care, I learned that trust is built through actions, not words.
Today, I see every obstacle as part of the journey that shaped me into the woman and entrepreneur I am today. With the support of my family and a strong sense of purpose, these challenges taught me that when you lead with heart, resilience, and faith, meaningful success follows.

Be Clean Carolinas is a family-owned residential and commercial cleaning and organization company dedicated to creating clean, healthy, and peaceful spaces. We provide regular and deep cleaning, move-in and move-out services, post-construction cleaning, and professional organization for closets, cabinets, and other areas.
What truly sets us apart is the experience we create. Cleaning is not just about making a space look nice, it is about care, trust, and attention to detail. Every home or office we enter is treated with respect, as if it were our own, because we know these spaces are personal and meaningful to the people who use them.
