Today we’d like to introduce you to Mikki Ramey
Hi Mikki, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have lived in Charleston my whole adult life, moving here after graduating from Furman University. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 28 years and am mother to my 4 terrific children. Before starting my real estate career, I spent four years as a Charleston County school teacher. My journey into real estate began after experiencing some challenges while buying and selling my first home—I knew there had to be a better way, and I wanted to help others navigate the process more smoothly.
For over 20 years, I’ve been dedicated to helping buyers and sellers in the Charleston market, selling over 1,700 homes along the way. I still love working with clients and finding solutions that make their real estate dreams a reality. In addition to helping others buy and sell homes, I’m also a real estate investor and own multiple investment properties. Some girls buy shoes—I prefer buying houses! 🙂 Currently, I am the leader of the top female real estate team in Charleston!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Every working parent knows that balancing work and spending time with your family is no easy task. To have a strong family and a thriving career, it takes a village for both. With three children under the age of five, I decided to start my own real estate company. I started my company, Healthy Realty, in 2008 at the beginning of one of the most challenging real estate markets of my lifetime. While other agents were getting out of the real estate business, I decided to get in. My goal was to make more in real estate my first year than I made as a teacher. Well, I failed that challenge, making only $15,000 my first year in real estate. Despite this failure, I decided $15,000 was better than $0 and tried to keep building my business. I never gave up and kept growing my business over the years.

Healthy Realty is a boutique real estate brokerage serving the greater Charleston, SC area. We help clients buy, sell, and invest in real estate throughout the city and islands. The name Healthy Realty is derived from my company’s desire to serve healthcare professionals in our area and to help our community make healthy real estate decisions. I am extremely proud of the agents in our company and their desire to educate and serve the public in all things related to real estate. We offer free buyer consultations for those considering buying a home and free home valuations for current homeowners.
What matters most to you? Why?
I am passionate about teaching people how to build wealth through real estate. Over the years, I have created transformational wealth for my family through buying, selling, and investing in real estate. I have been a homeowner since I was 24 years old. I think everyone who can afford a home should buy one, and I love to teach buyers and sellers about making a wise decision when considering buying and selling property. I especially think 20-somethings should buy real estate as a way to build generational wealth.
