Community Highlights: Meet Miaisabella Whitaker of Saibella Marketing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miaisabella Whitaker.

Hi Miaisabella, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Houston, Texas, but shortly after, I moved to the Philippines to live with my family. I didn’t return to the U.S. until I was 13 years old. At that point, I barely spoke English and had little understanding of American culture.

Socially, that transition was difficult. I struggled to find my place until I discovered social media, particularly Facebook. Online, I felt like I could fully express who I was without the same pressure I experienced in person. It became a space where forming connections felt natural, and I quickly realized that digital platforms were where I thrived.

A big part of overcoming my shyness came from my background in pageantry. Performing and presenting myself from a young age gave me a level of confidence, and combining that with early exposure to social media taught me how to shape my own narrative. I learned how to show up, be seen, and create opportunities for myself.

Years later, I competed in Miss Philippines USA. Although I placed third, the experience was pivotal cause it opened doors and shifted my perspective. Being in Los Angeles showed me how much opportunity exists when you put yourself out there. It was the first time I truly understood the power of positioning, networking, and confidence.

While living in California, I landed my first brand deal. Before that, I didn’t even realize it was possible for brands to send products (PR) let alone pay for content. My first collaboration was a $200 deal for a video featuring face towels, and that moment changed everything for me. It made me realize that social media wasn’t just a hobby now it was a business.

As I continued exploring the space, I noticed many creators receiving gifted collaborations. While that was exciting, I knew it wasn’t sustainable long-term. I started asking myself how I could turn content creation into something more strategic and profitable.

At the time, I had a blog called Sabella Blogs where I shared pieces of my life and interviewed others, but it wasn’t gaining traction. I realized part of the hesitation came from fear—fear of judgment, especially from people around me who weren’t always supportive.

To get past that, I created an alternate account. I began experimenting with AI-generated content, creating visuals of myself in aspirational settings , unboxing PR packages, collaborating with brands, and living the life I envisioned. That’s where the concept of Saibella was born.

What started as an idea quickly evolved into something much bigger. I was already part of a WhatsApp group where creators shared opportunities, and I saw the potential to scale that into a business. That’s when I founded SAIBELLA Marketing, a platform focused on connecting creators with brand deals, PR opportunities, and paid collaborations.

Since then, we’ve facilitated over 10,000 collaborations with an approval rate of around 50%, and built a network of over 2,000 creators through our platform. Beyond my own growth as a creator, it’s been incredibly rewarding to help other women secure deals, build their brands, and see real results from their content.

What started as a way for me to find my voice has turned into a business centered on helping others do the same.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. The space is incredibly competitive there are millions of people aiming for the same opportunities, and on top of that, I’ve experienced situations where my ideas or work have been taken and reused by others. That’s been one of the most challenging parts, especially because you don’t always catch it until it’s already happened.

Another challenge is that a lot of people don’t fully understand how much work happens behind the scenes. From sourcing opportunities and building brand relationships to helping creators grow and position themselves strategically, there’s a significant amount of time, effort, and expertise involved. Because that work isn’t always visible, it can sometimes lead to my value being underestimated and that’s something I’ve had to navigate as I continue to grow my business.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My business, Saibella Marketing, was built from a very unconventional beginning. The name itself is a play on my own name, Miaisabella, and it originated from an AI-based account I created early on to get my foot in the door. At the time, I wanted to build intrigue something that allowed me to step into the space without limitations, while still capturing attention and building a following. That concept ultimately evolved into what Saibella is today.

At its core, Saibella Marketing is a creator development and brand partnership agency. We specialize in connecting creators with real opportunities whether that’s PR gifting, paid collaborations, brand campaigns, or event activations. On the other side, we work closely with brands to source reliable, high-quality creators who can deliver strong, results-driven content.

What sets us apart is our focus on both sides of the relationship. We don’t just push out opportunities we actively develop creators;
For example I remember a creator coming to me, she had no brands deal , no connections , no structure and now she’s getting 15 packages a week from brands and about to be able to pay her bills with content alone.

helping them grow their platforms, position themselves strategically, and secure consistent deals. At the same time, we prioritize brand trust by ensuring that the creators we work with are professional, responsive, and aligned with delivering a strong return on investment.

Another unique aspect of Saibella is the community we’ve built. Our creators are able to see each other’s wins whether it’s landing a campaign, receiving PR, or securing a paid deal and that transparency creates motivation, accountability, and momentum. It turns what can often feel like a solo journey into something collaborative and inspiring.

Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is how we’ve been able to scale both impact and results. We’ve helped facilitate thousands of collaborations while building a network of creators who are not only growing individually, but also elevating each other.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
If there’s one thing I want readers to take away, it’s this: if someone like me—building from South Carolina, without a roadmap or built-in support—can create these opportunities, then it’s possible for them too. Sometimes it’s not about where you are, it’s about who you connect with and how willing you are to put yourself out there.

I’ve faced rejection, lack of support, and moments where I questioned everything—but I kept going. You have to. Because the reality is, most people won’t see the vision at first. And that’s okay. It’s not their job to believe in it—it’s yours.

Even with Saibella, growing to over 2,000 creators is something that once felt out of reach. There was a time not too long ago when I wasn’t sure anyone would understand what I was trying to build. But I kept showing up anyway.

The same goes for opportunities I never imagined for myself—placing as third runner-up in a national pageant, being offered the chance to step into the Miss Universe Philippines world—those weren’t things I thought were possible for me. But they happened because I chose to believe in myself before I had proof.

So more than anything, I want people to know: don’t wait for validation. Start before you feel ready. Bet on yourself first—and everything else will follow.
