Hi Leslie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Digital Pulse Consulting started as a spark of inspiration between my business partner Chris and me over seven years ago when we first crossed paths in marketing and sales. Back then, we collaborated on events, trained teams on branding and social media, and realized we had a knack for creating strategies that not only stood out but delivered results. One of our most exciting early wins was helping launch a viral health and wellness company that hit $15 million in its first year.

From there, we knew we wanted to take our combined expertise and passion and build something of our own. That’s how Digital Pulse Consulting was born. Today, we partner with a wide range of clients—fair and event centers, farm wedding venues, children’s media brands, churches, Airbnbs, mining companies, and more—to help them grow their brands and engage their audiences.

We love getting out of the office and into the action. Whether it’s attending client events or brainstorming outside-the-box strategies, we’re hands-on, energized, and all-in. Our goal is simple: to take the stress of social media and marketing off of business owners’ plates so they can focus on what they do best—running their business. Watching our clients thrive is what keeps us going, and we’re excited for every opportunity to make that happen!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a business is never a straight, smooth road. We had to figure out everything from LLCs and business filings to the endless maze of paperwork (not exactly the glamorous side of running an agency). Add to that the challenge of keeping up with the ever-changing algorithms, new platforms popping up every other week, lightning-fast trends, and the constant need to stay ahead with ongoing education in the industry—it’s been a lot, but we wouldn’t trade it for anything.

It hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has made us sharper, more creative, and even more determined to help our clients crush it in the digital world.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson we’ve learned along our journey is to never get too comfortable. It’s so easy to pour all our energy into taking care of our clients—and we love doing it—but along the way, we realized we can’t afford to put ourselves on the back burner. We’ve learned the importance of carving out time to market our own business, invest in our growth, and stay ahead of the curve. It’s a balancing act, but it’s been a game-changer in helping us not just maintain momentum, but keep pushing forward.
