I started my journey as a proud member of the U.S. Navy, where I have learned the values of discipline, attention to detail, and hard work. My time in the service has instilled in me a strong sense of responsibility and precision, which are qualities I’ve carried into the next chapter of my life. After serving as a bookkeeper for two non-profit organizations as a collateral duty while in the military, I realized my passion for helping individuals and businesses manage their finances efficiently. I pursued education and training in bookkeeping, honed my skills, and eventually took the leap to start my own firm. Today, I’m proud to run a business that empowers others to achieve financial clarity and success, all while drawing on the principles I developed during my military career.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey to building my own bookkeeping firm has been rewarding but not without its challenges. One of the initial struggles was transitioning from a structured military environment to the more unpredictable world of business ownership. Learning to market my services, build a client base from the ground up, and navigate the ever-changing financial regulations was a steep learning curve.
Another hurdle was establishing trust with clients, especially early on, as I had to prove my expertise and reliability in a competitive field. Balancing the technical side of bookkeeping with running the business itself—managing operations, networking, and staying on top of trends—was another challenge.
Despite these obstacles, my military background taught me resilience and adaptability, which were instrumental in overcoming these hurdles. Each challenge became a learning opportunity that ultimately helped me grow, both personally and professionally.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I’ve had many mentors throughout my career, too many to name. Any bit of advice or support I’ve ever received helped to mentor me and it’s been very much appreciated. Most importantly, my wife deserves so much credit for taking care of the family and our home while I spend countless hours serving in the military and coming home only to go to work again on my business venture. She understands the sacrifice necessary and I can’t thank her enough for her support.
