Community Highlights: Meet Jennifer Creswell of Trax on Trinity

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Creswell.

Hi Jennifer, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
After 12 years in the children’s clothing business, I was ready for a change! The current trend of remaking/reimagining 80’s and 90’s classic nostalgia was the inspiration behind Trax on Trinity, which is now part retro/nostalgia gift shop, part boho bookstore, part hippie head shop! Something for everyone!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Going from a pretty well established business to a completely different type of store has had its challenges, especially trying to essentially grow our following from scratch again. Meeting the needs of a different demographic has also been a learning process.

As you know, we’re big fans of Trax on Trinity. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
One of our customers said it best- “It’s the closest to Spencer’s Abbeville will ever get”. Add in a college bookstore vibe and that’s the best description I can think of!

What makes you happy?
That little gasp I hear when someone sees something in the shop that immediately takes them back to their childhood… that unlocked memory of something they loved….that is the most satisfying part of my job.
