Hi Heather, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my journey as a massage therapist 14 years ago and worked for a corporate massage company for over a decade. I was missing the hometown feel and connection. Everything felt generic at times. Although I was so grateful to the opportunity I knew Rock Hill needed a space to truly escape to. I branched off from my stability and dove face first into this crazy idea of creating a spa that brought back the small town vibe, a personable connection with anyone that walked through the door and a way to connect our community. Massage Oasis was all of that. I started off with a small suite and things took off so within a year my husband, Wes, decided to come on board, and hiring other experienced massage therapists and esthetician, together we took on a bigger space to branch off into more holistic ways to help people look and feel amazing. We have decorated our space with local artists artwork for sale and always looking for any opportunity to support other local businesses. Massage Oasis became everything we hoped for and more.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not smooth at all but definitely an adventure. Construction was delayed so financially it was a bit rocky. We put all our savings into this project. My health was not great at times which also made it difficult bc a lot of work was hands on during construction. Not knowing certain processes for businesses owners. Lots of learning.
We’ve been impressed with Massage Oasis, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Massage Oasis has some of the best local Massage therapists, all of which have 9-16 years of experience. My husband and I work hands on as massage therapists, side by side with some of the best lkcal massage thrrapists. Our esthetician takes pride in going above and beyond in helping her clients reach their beauty goals. The space is set apart from most because of its unique decor, personal connections, and just the entire experience. We are always trying new things and constantly growing. Making local business connections, trying to help each of us win.
