Community Highlights: Meet Emily Fournier of The Pantry by Emily’s Table and Emily’s Table

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Fournier.

Hi Emily, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I moved here in 2023 from Austin, Texas and bought two buildings on N. Main Street in which to build my hospitality dreams. After experiencing significant delays due to structural issues, we finally opened our first concept in October of 2025 – The Pantry by Emily’s Table – at 241 N Main Street. The Pantry is a gourmet bodega and cafe featuring farm fresh seasonal menus with special attention to protecting the top 9 allergens. Our fine dining concept – Emily’s Table – will open at 110 N Main in October this year.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been smooth. Through a tumultuous beginning God finally brought me my phenomenal Executive Chef, and now business partner, Jimmy Norris in August of 2025. Jimmy has made the kitchen management and menu portion of our plan super smooth, but our two buildings have brought their own challenges due to the age of the buildings and the aging infrastructures. I spent 2024 reinforcing the structure of the building that houses the Pantry, and the better portion of this year working on new electrical and water supplies for Emily’s Table as well as adding a grease trap and new HVAC system. The upside is that we should be in great shape once all of the renovations are completed.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I began my career as an attorney and transitioned into catering in Austin, Texas in 2019. In 2023 I moved to Greenville to be near family and turned my vision into a brick and mortar reality. I have 7 food allergies and have historically had a really tough time eating out at restaurants. In each of my businesses, I have worked hard to insure that everyone has a seat at our tables, that our food accommodates food restrictions and allergies, but is so flavorful and tempting that even those without restrictions crave our food.

I believe strongly in community and try to pull as many vendors as I can from my surrounding areas. All of our retail was mindfully chosen to not only meet the travel and immediate needs of our neighbors and visitors, but showcases the talent and gifts of our community. When you step into the Pantry, I hope you feel like you are in an old European bodega where our team knows your name and remembers your favorites. Emily’s Table will also bring you that old world feel, and it will be so luxurious and cozy that we hope you linger and savor all that our food and beverages programs have to offer.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I love when people reach out to me with event or inventory collaboration ideas. They can email all ideas to info@emilystable.com. We love hosting and showcasing local product. No idea is too silly or off the wall. The best way to support us is to come down N, Main. Our biggest struggle is getting people to come past the farmer’s market and visit us in the NOMA square area. In addition, shout outs on social media and positive reviews are the best way to help us spread the word about our offerings. Being small and new to the area makes word of mouth all the more important for our success.
