Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Hatton
Hi Danielle, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My hypnotherapy practice was born from a mix of my love for art, science, and service.
Throughout my twenties, I was on a journey to find a way to blend these three passions into something truly meaningful. It was messy—a lot of trial and error, a lot of throwing spaghetti at the wall. But through my travels and exposure to different studies and teachings, I gradually uncovered a range of tools that would one day shape my offerings.
When I discovered hypnotherapy, I was immediately OBSESSED! I loved the fusion of neuroscience, psychology, and somatics, along with the opportunity to create a practice that felt like art. It was the perfect bridge between science and soul.
I dove headfirst into my studies, and at the same time, I used these tools to heal my own anxiety. This personal transformation not only solidified my confidence in the power of this work but also gave me a deep understanding of the struggles my clients face. Because I’ve been in their shoes, I can support them in a way that feels truly compassionate, grounded, and effective.
Today, my practice is built on that foundation—helping people move from anxiety and overthinking to a place of peace, confidence, and self-trust. It’s work that feels both deeply personal and profoundly fulfilling, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The balance between creativity and a clinical lens is something I’ve wrestled with. I’m not someone who wants to just follow a textbook —I love learning and the science behind what I do, but I also believe healing is just as much an art as it is a science. The magic happens when I take evidence-based tools and make them feel human, intuitive, and personal. Finding that balance has been an ongoing process, but it’s also what makes my work feel so fulfilling and true to me.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Danielle Hatton Hypnotherapy?
My hypnotherapy practice is a blend of hypnosis, CBT, breathwork, and mindfulness. I primarily support women all over the world with a range of challenges, including:
– Fear of flying, driving, underground travel, spiders, needles, claustrophobia, etc.
– Social anxiety and relationship/dating anxiety
– Habit change and breaking unhelpful cycles
– Low self-esteem and confidence building
What makes hypnosis so powerful is its ability to work directly with the subconscious mind, where our deep-rooted patterns, habits, and fears live. Through hypnosis, we create new neural pathways—this is called neuroplasticity—which allows us to rewire old responses and form healthier, more supportive patterns. It’s like updating the software of your mind so you can finally respond to life in a way that aligns with who you want to be.
I’d say what sets my practice apart is the humanness of it. This isn’t a cold, clinical process—it’s real, personal, and deeply collaborative. We laugh, we cry, and we create lasting change together. I always tell my clients in our first session: We’re a team in this.
Another thing that makes hypnotherapy unique is that it’s not a long-term commitment like traditional therapy. We typically work together for 6-12 sessions, and my goal is to equip you with the tools to navigate life’s stressors on your own. I want you to leave our time together feeling empowered, capable, and excited about the changes you’re making.
One of the biggest myths about hypnosis is that you lose control or that someone is “doing” something to you. In reality, hypnosis is just a state of focused awareness—like being deeply absorbed in a book or a movie. You are always in control, and all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. My job is to guide you into this powerful state where you can access deeper parts of your mind and make meaningful, lasting changes.
Many people find traditional therapy leaves them feeling stuck in endless sessions without real movement. Hypnotherapy is different. It’s about getting to the root, shifting patterns at a deep level, and seeing real, tangible change in a short amount of time.
If you want to try a new way of healing, I am obviously bias, but I truly cannot recommend hypnosis/hypnotherapy enough.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Growing up in a seaside town in the North of England I would always be either at the beach or helping my mum with cricket teas. I always loved being outside and in community! If not that then definitely learning to bake with my grandma.
