Community Highlights: Meet Antrez Mcdaniel of BTB2

Today we’d like to introduce you to Antrez Mcdaniel

Hi Antrez, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I thought about a simple goal. I thought about what I loved to do, everyday. I thought of an idea of being able to spend more physical hours with my children. I thought about what it was that I could give them. I also thought about how much time I had on this earth. I thought about where I was and where I wanted to be…

And then…

I decided that I was going to do what I loved to do, everyday. I decided to spend more physical time with my children. I decided to teach them what I knew and loved. I decided to use my time wisely. I decided that I wanted to show any other competitive person an opportunity to decide how great they wanted to be.

And then…

I acted. I created my LLC and initial branding while I worked one of my day jobs. I started training my kids on what I knew growing up and what I learned. I started having fun creating.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Nothing that we start, do, or try to do is a breeze. It should not be if you are convicted, consistent, and compassionate about it. The road you travel is your OWN. Most individuals are not traveling at the same speed or tempo as you are. The ones that are, purposely do it.

Most of my struggles in life have been learning what was important. The hardest thing lesson I learned about is compartmentalization. While I started my own business, I lost multiple monumental and influential men in my life. These moments pushed me to choose.

Another struggle is realizing that this generation of youth suffer from a plethora of issues that can be solved through simple and consistent physical activity. I am not able to be idle.

As you know, we’re big fans of BTB2. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I professionally and privately train aspiring athletes, athletes, and parents to build conviction, consistency, and compassion. I believe very strongly in these three C’s. I want a trainee to be convicted about whatever it is they want to achieve. I want to teach why compassion and consistency are important for success.

Alongside building the Three C’s of Success, I constantly build trainees to find their “WHY.” Most people today do things as a fad, or for likes, clicks or simply because we are told. When you truly understand why you are doing a task, or following a path, you become immovable. Learning these skills early will set your trajectory higher!

I have an extensive background in coaching and teaching. I have been coaching high school football for almost 20 years. I have been coaching all of my life. I have always found a way to pass along whatever it is I knew and learned.

With branding, I believe that Proper Progression Prevents Poor Performance. I am going to meet everyone where they are! I understand that father time is undefeated, but I also believe that pushing against it makes you stronger longer, examples, Lebron James, Tom Brady, etc.

I am most proud of the fact that I stepped out on faith, and continue to grow.

I can guarantee results with commitment.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
MY city, Fountain Inn, I am grateful to have been raised in, currently coaching in, and constantly learning from so many people in different walks of life. The role that I have with having a positive impact on future decision makers is monumental and extremely exciting!

What I like least is that all children are not awarded the same conviction n, consistency and compassion from some leaders. The status quo is simply not good enough anymore. Children now have so many gifts and ways of communication and leaders will miss out on many gifted human beings by teaching and modeling with a “general” focus. Everyone needs a chance at answer deeper questions about themselves and to learn about their true potential, regardless of their starting place!

I love the fact that there are so many “home grown” success stories all around this community! I feel that this community is recreating the youthful experiences that I had growing up. We were able to ride our bikes to a park, neighbors house and to a store. At all places, parents and owners all knew, supported, and protected each other.

Thinking, deciding and acting has been key for my daily walk through life. I was grateful to have great examples of conviction, consistency and compassion to learn from growing up. From God, my Parents, my Grandparents, Uncle, my pastors, I am soooooo grateful! Now it’s my turn.
