Check Out Talon Grace’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Talon Grace.

Hi Talon , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
At 54 I considered my life over. Going thru a very dark time in life including mental issues/addiction and just a overall feeling of being lost a future friend ask me to give painting a try and without any art background or history in art I discovered by chance what it was I was put on this earth to do.

That is to create!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Within my first year of just trying to teach myself how to paint and not knowing how to do put just to make marks using paint, pencil and hand tools and marking the surface I chose which was found wood my journey began. To my surprise under a year later I was asked to do my first solo exhibition and now the journey continues…

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My medium is anything that makes the marks that express my emotional from acrylic paints using my hands to spread the paint to using sticks to spread the paints or just a pencil making random marks throughout. Whatever strikes me to use I will use.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Just explore what it is for you to explore you just never know what lies ahead.
