Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Smith.
Hi Natalie , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We had been considering the venture for several years and decided to dive in with a little inspiration from their daughter, for whom the business is named.
“She is what gave us the push. If there was any leap of faith, she gave us that and she made us tough,” Natalie Smith said.
Aspen was born 15 weeks early, weighing just over 1 pound and not breathing, the couple said. Natalie Smith spent 98 days with Aspen in the neonatal intensive care unit at Spartanburg Medical Center.
“I was working full time as a CNA (certified nursing assistant) at Spartanburg Medical Center while she was there,” Smith said. “I worked third shift at the hospital so I could be there with her in the NICU.”
When Aspen was healthy enough to leave the hospital, Smith said she quit her job to be with her daughter, while her husband supported the family with his full-time job at Lear Corp. in Duncan.
Now we have three full functioning food trucks 1 Aj’s Street Kravz 2 Aspen Street Sweets and truck number 3 is Aspen Shaved Ice
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely has not been a smooth road. When are mobile challenges arise daily and quickly. We have become experts at putting out fires.

We specialize in specialty funnel cakes with different twist. We are known for our deep-fried cheesecake and brownies. We are most proud the fact that we have continued to grow to 3 trucks. We are also proud of our 5 star google review ratings. We pride ourselves for having the best custom service a food truck could offer!
