- The Foundation
Drawn 2 You Apparel, LLC (established in 2023) was initially called Drawn 2 You Trends, a secondary side hustle of the business that started it all, Drawn 2 You Studios. Drawn 2 You Studios, LLC (established in 2020 during COVID) provides a service aspect to customers wanting to amplify their brands and designs in a form they can physically touch. Drawn 2 You was founded and operated by Marcus A. Evans formally in 2016 while he was pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Digital Design at Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC. He worked as an affordable graphic designer for fellow students looking to start businesses and turn their ideas into reality with a now-known business at the college.
- The Mission
Our mission for Drawn 2 You Apparel is to bring back the values we grew up on by creating high-quality clothing that embodies nostalgia, and mental awareness, as well as fostering a sense of connection. We are a small business for the Low-Country community sprouting like the Lotus, inspired by our brand logo. We aspire to inspire others to embrace their unique styles and express themselves with confidence. We also encourage and work with graphic designers and future entrepreneurs who are starting their journey helping them to develop and improve their portfolios.
- The Future
Drawn 2 You Apparel is built with a team of trusted friends and family that understands and sees the vision of where D2Y Apparel will be in the future. With vision and creativity at the forefront, this is just the beginning. We hope to inspire the rebirth of loyalty, dedication, respect, self-love, service, integrity, and confidence in the next generation.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not. We had to learn so many lessons in the short time launching this company, but the struggles are always a part of every major company. As a newly established team, we had to learn to think on a united front. Instead of thinking as an individual, I should stress myself as a leader to figure out how to lead indeed and make the choices that would push the company forward or hold it back. Paying attention to the details has tripped us up many times because the small things can make a big difference in the quality of work. The biggest struggle currently would be our website regarding vendor research and things of that nature.

I am mostly known for my work ethic and the old-fashioned saying, “Someone has to do it.” This pushes me to focus on the things I need to do, whether it be errands or assignments. I am creative in the visual arts, focusing on bringing together unique aspects of designs that are used in flyers, logos, etc. I always thought of copying other artists as being dishonorable and would take away from my style of art, which is, in my own words, constructive chaos or cartoon-like.
How do you define success?
I believe success is in the work we do and how that work affects others. Will what I did bring joy to them? Will it have a positive effect on their life? What thoughts and feelings do I want them to have when they see my work? These are some things I ask myself and motivate me to do my best work.
