Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Williams.
Hi Justin, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My wife and I always loved traveling, supporting local businesses, and growing a community around us. We started a blog in 2021 that featured information to help people plan trips and gave them great information on local places to eat and businesses to support. From there, the blog expanded to wedding planning advice then to lifestyle advice and then to baby-related advice. Now we focus on more family-related content. We also try to expand our knowledge of Greenville as we’ve only been here for 3 years. In the last few years, we transitioned away from blogging and now focus more on social media to keep up with the trends. We love turning our hobby into something that people can find useful.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing is ever a smooth road. At first, it was hard to gain a following, but we kept at it. Also, moving from Maryland to South Carolina made us have to adjust to a new audience and focus on learning about the local Greenville area. We are always learning about what works and what doesn’t as social media trends are always changing.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have a full time job in the Fintech space, but we do this as simply a hobby. We focus on travel, lifestyle, family, and food-related content. We are proud of some of the itineraries we’ve put together to help people plan trips and also our focus on supporting local restaurants and business owners.
What makes you happy?
My family is the most important thing to me. Everything we do is to make sure our kids are able to be supported by a strong community and experience life to the fullest.
