Today we’d like to introduce you to John Johnson
John, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I began as a collector of Action Figures, Shoes, and video games. Eventually, I transformed my hobby and passion into a side business by selling online and at local flea markets. The business model proved so successful that I quit my job and started doing it full-time. In order to scale up my wife and brother both quit their full-time jobs and we opened a retail store. Now, we specialize in the buying selling, and trading of shoes, vintage clothing, retro video games, and toys.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I wouldn’t say that we had many struggles. The main challenge is just the amount of dedication to sourcing quality product as well as the amount of hard work it took to open 7 days a week and make our store a success.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We are most proud of our reputation for doing great business and having one of the cleanest thrift stores around. We take pride in our exceptional customer service and provide an opportunity for the community to sell their used merchandise. We are known for having hard-to-find retro video games, rare toys, and affordable shoes and clothes. What sets us apart from other stores is our willingness to make a deal and not be so rigid in our pricing that everyone can’t leave a happy customer.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory was collecting my action figures and displaying them around my room.
