Today we’d like to introduce you to Jered.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I moved to Greenville with my wife in 2010 to be a worship leader and musician at a church here in town. Over the years, I’ve realized my passion is for helping other people realize their passion. So, I’ve been developing my skills in media production and marketing ever since. My first love is music performance, especially piano and drums and keyboards. But I am also a filmmaker, photographer, and audio producer as well. I have 5 daughers who help me with my business and my wife is a queen when it comes to homeschooling and supporting her family.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My life has not been a smooth road, and I’ve learned that that was never a guarantee any way 🙂
I recently had a challenging break with my church of 15 years. I realized I had no skills or connections outside of that system, and so there has been lots of growth opportunity in the areas of learning how to stay in touch with friends and make new ones. Relationships are not always automatic!
Ultimately, the struggles lead to growth and joy, and so I’m grateful.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a media producer and teacher. I am known for film-making, song writing, and audio production. But I love playing live music and teaching my students guitar and piano lesson. I am most proud of the opportunity to serve others and share what I’ve learned. My primary passion is to help others, and in helping others, I help myself.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I am humbled when I think of the major players, friends, mentors, and connection in my journey.
Nathan and Sarah at Showoff Creative helped me find my place in business.
Tim and Elliot at NewLife Chem (Texize) helped show me how your business should also be a place of healing and second chances.
Susan at Cottage Grove Vintage Market showed me trust and how business can be a family.
Kenny at East West Capital has been a great friend to travel alongside with during this time.
Elizabeth Orr at Prisma showed me generosity in letting me run A/V for their educational events.
Jonathan Kittel at Wellspring Counseling has been a vital friend and mentor.
