Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenna Hudson
Hi Jenna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m Jenna Hudson, and my husband and I have been married since we were 20 years old. Born and raised in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, we’ve always had a deep love for the Carolina outdoors. Our shared passion for gardening, hosting, watersports, and all things outside naturally led us to a new adventure—starting our own landscaping business in the early spring of 2009.
At just 23 years old, we had no idea what owning a business would truly entail, but we knew we wanted to take the journey together. We started small—just two piles of bulk mulch, a truck, and a trailer, making deliveries to local landscapers, contractors, and homeowners. Slowly, we expanded, adding different colors of mulch, landscaping stones, and a selection of small shrubs and flowers.
From the beginning, we committed to trying one new “thing” each year. If we loved it, we made it a permanent part of our business; if not, we moved on. Through this approach, we discovered our greatest passions—landscape design and installation, where we bring our clients’ outdoor visions to life, and our beloved Garden Center, where we grow and maintain plants while continuously researching and curating fresh varieties for our customers.
After 15 years in business at our flagship Myrtle Beach location, we took an exciting next step—moving our Garden Center and Landscape Design office to our newly purchased farm in Loris. This location, just a short drive from our service areas, has been the perfect place to expand and grow. We’re thrilled to continue doing what we love, creating beautiful outdoor spaces, and sharing our passion for plants and landscaping with our community.
We now have a bustling and ever-changing and growing Garden Center, a variety of mulches and landscaping stones, landscape lighting, and design and installation services.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Throughout our business journey, we’ve faced numerous challenges—both personal and professional. Finding, training, and retaining a great team has been an ongoing priority, as we know our employees are our greatest asset. The COVID-19 pandemic brought unexpected difficulties, with a surge of new gardeners and landscapers discovering their passion while we worked to navigate supply chain disruptions and operational hurdles. Additionally, losing our home to flooding after Hurricane Matthew was a deeply personal challenge, testing our resilience as we rebuilt while continuing to grow our business. Through every obstacle, we remained committed to our team, our customers, and our love for creating beautiful outdoor spaces—emerging stronger, more adaptable, and more passionate than ever.

We are a locally owned Garden Center and full-service landscape design business, dedicated to helping our customers create beautiful outdoor spaces. From selecting the perfect plants to designing and installing stunning landscapes, we walk with our clients every step of the way to bring their vision to life. Our greatest pride is our team and the relationships we build—many of our clients become lifelong friends, returning year after year to share their growing landscapes and stories with us. We’re passionate about serving our community and creating outdoor spaces that bring joy for years to come.
