Today we’d like to introduce you to Dawn Billeci
Hi Dawn, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
It all began when I was searching for a way to heal—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Holistic health found me when I needed it most, and it completely transformed my life. I found relief from the symptoms of anxiety and stress, and began to nurture my own broken heart and tired mind, healing in ways I never expected.
Now, I’m dedicated to supporting others to experience that same transformation. I work with people of all ages and from all walks of life, educating people about tools that are proven to reduce the symptoms of trauma, anxiety, stress, pain, and depression through evidence-based, trauma-informed practices that foster resilience, self-awareness, and balance.
Sharing this work with others brings out the best in me—there’s nothing more fulfilling than watching people transform by fully embracing their own power and potential. At Soulshine Yoga and Wellness, we aim to make health and wellness practices accessible and impactful for all, empowering individuals to reconnect with their inner strength and create lasting positive change.
By sharing diverse, holistic teachings, we hope to inspire a ripple effect of healing that encourages everyone—regardless of age or background—to live with greater purpose and vitality. Whether working with individuals, businesses, or communities, we tailor our programs to meet the unique needs of each person.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is the general lack of understanding about the profound value of holistic health services. Many people aren’t fully aware of how these practices can significantly improve mental and physical well-being, particularly when it comes to reducing anxiety, stress, and trauma. As a result, there’s often a need for more education and awareness to help people recognize the transformative power of these services.
Another major obstacle has been securing funding, especially when it comes to implementing these programs in places where they are needed most. Many communities, schools, and organizations are eager to integrate wellness practices but face financial constraints. Finding sustainable funding to ensure these programs are accessible to those who would benefit the most is an ongoing challenge.
That’s why I’m always actively seeking community sponsors and program partners who share the vision of making holistic health accessible to everyone. Please reach out if you’re interested in supporting this work or becoming a partner in creating lasting change. Your sponsorship or partnership can help bring these transformative programs to the communities that need them most. Contact me here: Dawn@soulshineyogaandwellness.com
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I currently focus on three core projects that are making a meaningful impact on the communities I serve. One is The American Legion Post 26 Health and Wellness Program in Aiken S.C. for veterans and first responders. It has been incredibly well-received, and participants are experiencing significant benefits, including reduced stress, improved mental clarity, and enhanced overall well-being.
Another community program Soulshine offers is in partnership with a local breast cancer survivor group, The Pink Dandelions. This program is designed specifically for cancer survivors, fighters, and their caregivers. The classes have had a profound effect on participants. Many have reported decreased pain and stress, as well as improved sleep and mood. healing journey for these individuals is incredibly inspiring, and I’m honored to be part of it.
Lastly, I offer school wellness programs for educators and students. This work is particularly important because it addresses some of the root causes of the challenges we face in society. By teaching young people—and the adults who spend their days with them—skills like impulse control, communication, and team-building, we create a ripple effect that spreads throughout the broader community. This leads to healthier, happier individuals and ultimately a stronger society.
All of these community programs are in urgent need of funding to continue their vital work and reach more people. The impact is real, and the need is great.
In addition to these core programs, I also work with private clients, both 1:1 and in group settings. Each program is customized to meet the specific needs of the individual or group, ensuring that it’s tailored to their goals and challenges. Whether it’s a personal journey of self-care or a team-building focus for a group, the goal is always the same—empowerment, resilience, and lasting transformation. I am always interested in connecting with new clients and welcome inquiries. What makes you happy?
For me, happiness is rooted in a sense of balance, connection, and growth. It’s about being in tune with both the body and mind, and recognizing that well-being is an ongoing journey. True happiness comes from finding peace within ourselves and building meaningful connections with others.
Through the work I do I’ve witnessed firsthand how transformative the journey to self-care and healing can be. It’s not just about alleviating pain or reducing stress; it’s about helping people reclaim their sense of agency, cultivate resilience, and rediscover joy in everyday life. Happiness, for me, is seeing others embrace their own strength and potential, knowing they have the tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and confidence.
I believe that when we invest in our own well-being and support others in doing the same, we create a ripple effect of happiness that extends far beyond ourselves, enriching entire communities.
