Today we’d like to introduce you to Colin Juffer
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
When I had arrived at Clemson I was pretty short on money so I started working on friends cars/ trucks to make some side cash. I started to get busier and busier as the weeks went on. I eventually started making business cards and made a website, as time went on it grew bigger. In mid march of 2024 I made it official and started my business LLC (One Stop Shop automotive LLC). I then got to the point where it was time to start leasing a shop, and that’s where I find myself today on 1010 Anderson Hwy Pendleton, SC.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No it has not been a smooth road I have had many bumps including finding time to keep up with school, stay involved in my fraternity and keep the company running smoothly. I have had to make sacrifices in order to keep the business afloat and work some crazy hours.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I started out working on small engines such as lawn mowers and weed whackers. I then became a ford power stroke technician at Harvey’s Diesel repair in Lebanon, Ohio. I then came to Clemson, South Carolina and ended up starting my own business. We now do all general automotive work as well as Diesel repair, and some mobile heavy equipment repairs. I think having such versatile skills is what has kept me in business.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Always stay focused on the long term goal and don’t let little things get to you
