Today we’d like to introduce you to Ceo Mcclain.
Hi Ceo, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Names Ceo Mcclain and I’m originally from Brooklyn NY and been living here in Charlotte for the past 6 years. Initially, when I moved out here it was about finding what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it. The first year here was a feeling out process and how people moved in such then my second year I decided I wanted to do a podcast in order to get my clothing brand KREATIVETHINKING Apparel out more. The first year in, my podcast NoAdvisory Podcast, exploded here in Charlotte which led it to becoming the number 1 urban/entertainment podcast here in the queen city winning 2 Queen city “Podcast of the year” awards. The podcast then became the catalyst for things such as my open mic TrainingDayCLT which is fast becoming one of the TOP open mics here in Charlotte. Up to this point, Charlotte has been very fruitful to me and my family and I’m just continuing to live in God’s graces and be the best version of me I can be.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
With success comes struggle and no one person who has ever gained and attained success, has not been through some sort of struggle. In knowing that and knowing what the end goal is, struggle and obstacles are expected and received knowing that what don’t kill me only makes me STRONGER.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m what you call a serial entrepreneur… My livelihood is based off my business ventures all of which I’m the Creator/Founder of which are Noadvisory podcast, my open mic Trainingdayclt, my clothing line KREATIVETHINKING apparel, and my nonprofit Jaam youth org. I’m most proud of NOT GIVING UP. Anyone who is an entrepreneur knows that it’s not an easy task at all especially me being a husband and a father. Balancing time is one of the most difficult things I have to come to grips with, but that is what sets me apart is the fact I know what and who I’m doing it for. There’s a sayin: life is not a remote and if you want change you have to get up and change it yourself. Having my will to succeed and trusting the process, has allowed me to distance myself from a lot of my counterparts.
