Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey to where I am today hasn’t been a straight line, but every twist and turn has brought me exactly where I need to be.
The foundation of who I am comes from my grandmother. Her constant love and unwavering support shaped my world. She taught me a vital lesson that I carry with me every single day: in life, when things happen, you can’t go over it, and you can’t go under it—you have to go through it. That philosophy became my anchor, especially when life got heavy.
As a single mother of three, raising my children essentially on my own without the presence of the other party, “going through it” wasn’t just advice; it was a daily reality. For a long time, I found myself starting things but not quite finishing them. Life, logistics, and the sheer exhausting demand of holding down a household solo would get in the way.
But with this chapter of my life, something clicked. I didn’t just want to provide for my kids; I wanted to inspire them. I wanted my children to see what dedication looked like, and more importantly, I wanted them to see what reaching the finish line actually felt like
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For years, I poured my work ethic and dedication into roles within the corporate world and the heavy, high-stakes environment of customer service, funeral and coroner (I worked as a deputy coroner) industries. I always knew I wanted to service others, but my professional path was constantly met with a painful, recurring roadblock.
I repeatedly found myself working for people who claimed to see my potential, but who never actually wanted me to reach it. It became clear that there was a fear I would supersede them, or step into spaces they had already envisioned for someone else. Experiencing that kind of workplace gatekeeping is draining—it is incredibly disheartening to have your drive quieted so that others can feel secure

At Reign Over Beauty, my work is about far more than surface-level aesthetics. I specialize in helping my clients feel regal, confident, and completely at home in their own skin.

Whether it is a bride walking down the aisle, a student headed to prom, or a client preparing for a special event or photoshoot, I tailor every application to enhance—never mask—their natural beauty.
-Facial Treatments: I offer specialized facials designed to rejuvenate, heal, and bring out a natural, healthy glow. My treatments are customized to the unique needs of each client’s skin.
-Facial Waxing Services: Precise, gentle facial waxing to perfectly frame the face and clean up brows and other areas with care.
I am known for creating a safe, peaceful, and elevated experience from the moment a client walks through my door.
I am known for my meticulous attention to detail, my warm and compassionate energy, and my ability to connect deeply with everyone who sits in my chair.
There are two things that fill me with the greatest sense of pride:
1. Finding Beauty Within & Sharing It: I am most proud of my ability to use my own past experiences of feeling insecure and, through time and resilience, finally being able to find the beauty in myself. To be able to take that personal healing and use it to help other women recognize and celebrate their own beauty is the greatest reward of my life
2. My Relentless Drive: I am deeply proud of my willingness to keep going, even in the hardest moments. Navigating the trials of single motherhood and pushing through professional doors that others tried to close on me only made me stronger. I didn’t just survive the storm; I learned to reign through the rain.
What truly sets me apart from others in this industry is that I don’t just sell beauty services; I foster liberation and self-love.
Because of my background in high-stakes, compassionate care, I understand people on a deeper level. I know what it feels like to struggle to see your own worth, and I know the incredible power of finally stepping into your own light. We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
If you ask me what role luck has played in my life and business, my answer is simple: I don’t believe in luck. I don’t depend on a roll of the dice or random chance. My journey has been entirely driven by God’s grace.
What others might call bad luck the painful roadblocks, the workplace gatekeeping, the exhausting trials of navigating single parenthood entirely on my own, I see as testing grounds. And what others might call good luck the perfect timing of opening my studio, the doors finally swinging open, the beautiful community of clients connecting with my work, I know to be something far greater.
Luck is temporary and unpredictable, but grace is an intentional, unwavering foundation
