Hi Stephanie, I’m so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My background is in banking. I worked in mortgage, commercial lending, and correspondent banking for seven years. After having my first child, I became a stay-at-home mom for nearly a decade. During that time, I helped run a mom group on Facebook with a group of friends. I loved that group. It was truly a community. Many of these ladies were there during big life moves and events. I saw its impact and the good in social media. I worked at my children’s school for two years when I re-entered the workforce. A friend told me about a course she would take in social media marketing, and I decided to take it with her. I started my business and quickly gained clients through word of mouth and social media. I enjoy this work and helping business owners achieve their goals.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There is a learning curve as a new business owner finds systems and processes that work for you. Social media is highly competitive. Big brands have teams dedicated entirely to social media with graphic designers and copywriters. I think doubt and imposter syndrome can creep in for anyone. My fitness journey taught me that with consistency and work over time, you can achieve your goals. It’s about finding what makes your brand unique, and for my clients, that’s personal service and trust every time.
