We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
When you start, you will encounter some bumps in the road, but you must have a strong why to help you complete the mission. Transitioning from corporate America to entrepreneurship is challenging in itself. You wonder how to market your business, which roads to take first, how much money you will need, how much you will spend, and whether you have enough cash. Fortunately, I had the luxury of having a corporate America job to fund my business initially, so the main questions were answered.

Thanks for sharing that. So, you could tell us a bit more about your work.
I am a woman who has been in Corporate America since I was 14. I have taken the knowledge I’ve learned from every job and implemented it in my business. My first job was at Subway, where I made decent money at 14. Then I went to Zaxby’s because they offered more money, of course, and I was a cashier, so that was a step up as I progressed in high school. I wanted more, so I went after more. My next job was as a key holder/trainer for Panera Bread Company; in my head, that’s where the big money came from at my age. I was opening and closing stores, training new hires, you name it. Yet again, I wanted more, so I went after more to prepare for college. I wanted to fund my dorm room without asking my parents for anything, so I saved up and put in my two weeks’ notice for my hours to decrease to part-time. Once in college, I tapped into work-study, an amazing program for any college student; it allows you to not only study but make some money while doing so. That provided a great income while in school, but I still wanted it more. I ended up working for Ollies; with my background, I could negotiate the amount of money I would make. I was a key holder/cashier/trainer/team lead for Grand Openings. It was a pretty good income, but I wanted more. A manager from CVS came in and recruited me to be a shift supervisor there. I weighed my odds and options and went for more money, and I still worked at Ollie’s for 6 months before finally leaving.

After securing my position at CVS, I obtained my pharmacy tech license, hence where the cross-training program originated. I wanted more, so I went after more. This is how I became a BMW employee; the hours at the pharmacy decreased as the seasons changed due to demand, and although I was secured in my title, I was traveling between three stores to make the money I was used to so one day on the radio I heard a sign on bonus was in full effect at BMW, A sign on bonus of $2000. I inquired, and once again, I went for it. My strategy was to use up all of my vacation time at CVS before leaving, so during orientations, I would use it until it was finally gone, and then I put in a two-week notice and left. While at BMW, an offer came to me in the way of network marketing; at this time, I didn’t know it would propel me into entrepreneurship. I did my research and teamed up with phenomenal businesswomen and men learning about entrepreneurship. I was so fascinated that I believed I could do it too, hence Exhaulted Financial Group’s birth.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is that if you can see it, you can do it! Never limit yourself to what the right now is or what the circumstance may be; always look beyond and dream your wildest dreams, and they will come to pass with commitment, dedication, and consistency; never, never tell a God-sized vision to a small-minded person!
