Hi Sharnese, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started in the NEMT industry in 2016, working with another NEMT business owner. After realizing the need for NEMT service in the community, I decided to start my own NEMT Business. I now own a successful NEMT Business because of my persistence, thorough research, and heart for wanting to help others. Many elderly, disabled, and families in disadvantaged communities often have difficulties with transportation to and from appointments or running simple errands; through my company, I can help them solve this problem by providing quality, reliable, and professional transportation service.

Oh no, it hasn’t. But I know that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. God didn’t say the road would be easy but that he would be with me through my struggles. Owning a business comes with a hefty financial obligation. When you’re a single mom and a single-member business owner, I initially had to figure out how to manage a business and home. I also struggled with being told no and trying to grow my business. But I advertised, built my website, went out in the community to meet people to promote my business, and it paid off.

Optimal Reliability Transportation LLC is a minority woman-owned business that provides non-emergency transportation services to older people, the disabled, students, and others in the community needing transportation. We also offer services to hospitals, cancer treatment centers, and families for reunions or outings. What sets us apart from others is that we have experienced some of the disparities many have faced with the lack of transportation and therefore understand and know how to meet the needs of others. We not only offer local services, but we will travel to meet your needs. Our drivers are thoroughly vetted and trained to ensure you have a safe, comfortable experience.
Any big plans?
I am currently a NEMT business coach and mentor, and I am preparing to travel to reach and teach others about the NEMT Industry and how to start and grow a NEMT Business. I have a NEMT Facebook group where I answer the many questions new business owners have and provide resources to them.
