Life & Work with Valeria Simon of Columbia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Valeria Simon.

Hi Valeria, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I got my first camera in back in high school, when MySpace about the only form of social media. A digital camera was a highly requested Christmas gift I begged my parents for the sophomore year. It all started just taking pictures of Random scenery & things. I then looked into documenting food at one point and then ventured into family & friends. During the isolation of the pandemic, I found myself interested in learning more about documenting milestones & life events. In 2021 I went full-time & haven’t looked back since with the support of my husband & those that book with me yearly. I’ll continue to perfect my craft & get better each session.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I struggled at first because I’m on the more reserved spectrum. But as time continues, I’ve become more open & have developed strong relationships/ friendships with my clients.
