Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Motley.
Hi Brittany, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I graduated from Charleston Southern University with a degree in Graphic Design and Fine Arts, leading to my career in Creative Marketing. Once my husband and I welcomed our 3 children into the world, my full-time job was to care for them—my passion for creating never stopped as I painted and designed at night when the kids slept—eventually leading to the creation of Brittany Motley Creative Co’s 1st Collection featured in ACE Hardware on Folly Rd. in Charleston. Divine guidance originally placed Teddybear Mobile into my life by hiring them for my daughter’s 4th birthday party in 2021. My passion for creative marketing and my purpose for creating an impactful example for my children led to purchasing the business in November of 2022.
Since then, I’ve been working hard to perfect the brand and grow the capability to serve our community better. I’ve curated customizable fundraising opportunities to serve better the needs of South Carolina educational systems and programs. My family and I have built relationships with fellow entrepreneurs, local businesses, clubs, and more to raise charitable donations for local children’s charities that share in our mission. We are providing a way for schools to raise funds that will enable them to serve our children better. Teddybear Mobile’s Mission is to help our communities positively support and prioritize every child’s future. We offer a fun and memory-making experience that smiles on every child’s face.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I continue to learn and grow as my business does. I enjoy every event we are a part of and meeting new people. My advice for a new business owner is to lean on friends and family who are free books of knowledge in areas in which we may need help. I have connected with people I consider friends because I needed to solve an obstacle. I also recommend connecting with others nationwide in familiar avenues like you. Accomplishing your challenges and solving obstacles along the way is what life is all about! To keep growing, you must challenge yourself, and with that comes obstacles.

Teddybear Mobile of Charleston offers any location a customizable huggable, lovable stuffing experience. We work with Schools, Universities, Athletic Programs, Greek Life Philanthropy, Businesses, Local Families, Charities, and Festivals. We provide a machine to pump “fluff” or non-allergenic polyester fiber of premium grade so not irritating to the most sensitive skin. We also provide a fun and always adapting collection of stuffed animals to choose from. We also provide fun and seasonal costumes for stuffed animals. Any big plans?
2023 continues to get more exciting with each month! For an April pop-up event, you can find us at Belle Station in Mount Pleasant, SC. We will be at the Nexton Community Amphitheater in Summerville, SC, in May. These events are open to the public! Something to look forward to in October of this year is Boone Hall’s Pumpkin Patch starting September 29th and running every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until Halloween! See us anytime during the festival and experience the festive fun Boone Hall is notorious for! We will offer our Halloween collection of witches, mummies, and pumpkins! We will also work with multiple schools and summer camp programs each month, bringing our fluff and stuffy experience to the classroom. We love working with our local programs to offer memorable experiences for every child.
Additionally, we are celebrating birthday parties with local families who have invited us to be the parties’ entertainment. Meeting local families and fellow parents is so much fun. We truly enjoy every type of event we work with and all the smiling, happy faces we meet during them.
