Meet Sanwone and Santae Benjamin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sanwone and Santae Benjamin. They and their team shared their story with us below:

The identical twin brothers Sanwone and Santae Benjamin were born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. They grew up on one of the worst sides of town in the early ’90s. At the age of seven, the twins were taken into foster care because of their family’s mental health and drug use and were in several foster homes before being adopted by the age of eleven. The boys entered the talent shows during their school years and were in several boy band groups. In 2013 the twins found their mentor and helped them with opportunities. In 2015 the brothers got their first big break at the Breakin Convention, a dance Convention owned by Jonzi D that toured in the US; after that, in 2015-2017, the brothers went to America’s Got Talent in Atlanta and NY, even though they didn’t make it everyone loved their energy and continued to follow their journey along with their community work and dance classes for young kids and adults in Charlotte. In 2021 the twins performed at Superbowl 55 with the Weeknd. At the time, Sanwone was out of work during covid, and Santae was working and holding down the house. Hold the brothers got the call to go to Tampa, and the Blumenthal Arts sponsored them and stayed in Tampa for two weeks, and the brothers became hometown heroes. The twins have also collaborated with another artist in the city for Dance projects and have teamed up with the mentor Dewh Brown and created Un. Titled Creative and Curate movie and community projects for the next generation Un. Titled photography has been featured on NYC Time Square and more. The brothers also danced for the Charlotte Hornets 2022-2023 season, giving foster kids opportunities and outlets to express themselves and teaching them about ownership. The new book Breaking Cycles is April 3rd and will be at the Boom Festival community festival

Let’s dig deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you overcome?
We’ve auditioned for many shows, and Things didn’t work out as we expected, but we kept going and remained positive and kept going. The road could have been smoother. The challenges have helped our character. Everyone has different goals in dance as well.

Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We specialize in dance/personal development for children to grow their confidence. We also teach children about going after their dreams. We also have an academy for children and our New company called Un. Titled, we teach young students who want to get into the production behind the scenes rather than just being the star on stage.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Un.titled_Creative/HomebaseFilms Studio is located in Uptown Charlotte, and the twin’s new book, Breaking Cycles, will be released on Amazon on April 3rd.
