Hidden Gems: Meet Miladys Rapalo of Iliana’s Cake Bakery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miladys Rapalo.

Hi Miladys, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I made my first cake six years ago, I made one for my brother, and since then, I realized that it was something I wanted to do more often. I found a passion in baking, and since then, I have started this path in the pastry industry.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
It has not been an easy path, but with goals and dreams, nothing is difficult; having these fundamental factors encourages you to continue.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We make cakes and artisanal bread from our country Honduras. We are known for having a variety of desserts, and we make any cake (even if it is a challenge). Having a good connection with our customers makes our business reach more people for recommendations; every week leave our company with several cakes and desserts made with much effort and dedication; our greatest satisfaction is seeing our customers happy with their orders.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
The crisis caused by covid-19 was a challenge, the work did not decrease much, but we learned to persevere.
