Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Simpkins.
Hi Stephanie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, you could tell our readers some of your backstories.
I started my custom jewelry collection in 2009 and opened my first boutique in 2015, including clothes, shoes, purses, and more. I closed my boutique during covid but birthed new ventures during that time. I now offer more to my clients than I had ever imagined; styling services, personal shopping, jewelry and style classes, and closet rehabs. We are still operating the boutique online as well.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of the struggles along the way were having to spend time pursuing my passion while working a 9-5 to fund my dreams. Some beginning struggles were learning my target client, finding quality vendors, and being every part of the team! (we=ME!)
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I create custom jewelry, style clients, personal shopping, and closet rehab. I specialize in custom pieces which sometimes include clothing. I am known for my Statement accessories. I am most proud that I took a chance to pursue my successful dreams. I set myself apart from others by staying in my lane and working within my strengths. I’ve learned to share my authentic self with my customers because people relate to real.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Numerous long-time friends (also entrepreneurs) have recognized my gifts and encouraged me to take chances. I credit my family for supporting my ideas, especially my mom and sister. I also accredit close friends in the business who have served various roles throughout the years as supporters, cheerleaders, and teammates.
