Today we’d like to introduce you to Nichole Martini. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Melissa and Nichole started working together on what is now Raven & Moon in Red Hook, NY, in the fall of 2019. What started as a healers collective has now grown into a very established retail and energetic healing company that expresses the perfect blend of our spirits in the beautiful upstate of South Carolina.
Nichole Martini is a co-owner at Raven & Moon and an intuitive coach, Reiki practitioner, and yoga teacher living & thriving in upstate South Carolina. Her driving passion is to create sustainable change by supporting her clients to find their unique pathway to soul expansion, spiritual growth, creative practice, and energetic & physical healing. After a decade in the NYC non-profit sector as a fundraiser & strategist, Nichole transitioned her focus to serving others through the healing modalities that helped her transform. Nichole received her Reiki Master Certification from Joanna Crespo at the New York Open Center & is from the Usui lineage. She is a certified life coach by the Coaching For Transformation Program at the New York Open Center & the International Coaching Federation. Nichole received her RYT-200 Hour from Three Sisters Yoga in NYC. Additionally, she has a BA in Music from Furman University in Greenville, SC, & an MS in Fundraising and Philanthropy from NYU.
Melissa Manto is a co-owner at Raven & Moon. She has a deep love & reverence for the land, plants, and the wild & for the amazing resilience & innate knowledge of the human body. She uses her herbalism knowledge, passion for personal empowerment & spiritual training to lead circles & women’s empowerment healing workshops. She brings enthusiasm, creativity & love of the earth to Raven & Moon.
Melissa attended college in Connecticut, where she studied horticulture & biotechnology. She began her herbalism studies as an apprentice in 2000 under V. Hawk. She has continued to practice & has developed several skills in Alchemy Herbalism over the last 20+ years. She began her Reiki Training in 2019 & then received her Reiki Masters Certification (Usui Lineage) & Crystal Healing Certification from D. Nichole Martini. Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
With every new business, there are always challenges. We expanded and grew quickly when we first established in New York, but then we hit a plateau through COVID and many other small businesses. This spiritually and energetically pushed us to seek a new home for Raven & Moon. In January 2022, we visited a local wine bar in Simpsonville while visiting friends. It was there in that lovely establishment’s warmth, love, and community that Melissa got the clear message that we were moving to Simpsonville. Although Nichole was not on board at first, everything aligned, and all signs pointed to shifting our lives to South Carolina. In July of 2023, we moved to our new home, and in October 2023, we opened Raven & Moon in Simpsonville, SC. Since opening in Simpsonville, our road has been exceptionally smooth. The community here is lovely and highly desirous of a home for meditation, energetic healing, and a spiritual community. We could not be more delighted with the natural growth we have experienced and the sincere love and acceptance we have experienced here.

Raven & Moon is a home for community, healing, and expansion. Melissa and Nichole work together to energetically curate ethically sourced resources that help our community on their healing journey and spiritual growth. Each product is hand-selected. This includes crystals, smudges, and herbal apothecary products.
Melissa and Nichole offer Reiki, Crystal Healing, Belief Alchemy Life Coaching, Sound Healing, and herbalism services. Additionally, we are a learning community that offers circles, workshops, & in-depth courses to serve our clients as they expand. These include Meditation Circles, Sound Baths, Workshops in Crystals, Reiki, Astrology, Tarot, Intuitive Development, Herbalism, and more.
We believe in creating a world where people empower themselves to lead authentically aligned lives. Our values are authenticity, excellence, expansion, community, and earth-consciousness. The combination of Nichole and Melissa’s energies, talents, love, and nurture is most often shared as what makes us unique. Our combination is a balanced yin/yang or solar/lunar pair. We both put much of our energy into selecting, processing, and curating our crystals and other products, which is felt by customers who come to find their special items.
We are most proud of the energetic and emotional feeling our clients, customers, and students experience when they come into our shop and attend our events. We have heard from many that they feel an immediate sense of release, relaxation, comfort, and support when they walk through our doors. Aesthetically, everything is consciously designed to appeal to the mind, body, and spirit. Beauty, order, and balance in our space are quite nurturing and supportive.

Melissa and I tend to be big risk-takers. It isn’t super-calculated. More so, we feel into what we desire and move all our energy, efforts, and resources in that direction. A ‘Sacral-hit’ if you will. From an outside perspective, many of our decisions have been high-risk. From an internal perspective, we know that when we are aligned with our desires and personal power, the Universe works with us to bring the right elements together to make it happen. This has been true every step of the way for our business; we have made decisions to move locations, invest in inventory, and change our business model based on the inspiration we have received individually and together. It has all unfolded rather beautifully.
