Hi Keyosha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started to get inspired with baking around may of 2022. As a mother of 3 beautiful kids there’s nothing better than bringing in extra income I started to invest in myself purchasing everything I needed to be successful in baking. For every birthday I started baking cakes. I also took a 101 fondant class to learn the techniques so I could do fondant cakes. As I got better and comfortable with baking I began to look into getting an Llc to bake professionally. Upon getting a llc I took my first order and gotten a good review from a complete stranger from that day forward I was excited and I knew this was for me . I continued to bake for my family and just to have sweets around the house for photos to help build a portfolio. I’ve noticed growth with my baking skills , I’ve noticed I started to receive more cake orders so I took that as motivation, I then started to add pastries sweets to my menu . I’ve came so far I remember my first cake . I am super excited for the future my goals are to become a full time baker .
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I can say it’s been a smooth road for me before baking I was fortunate to run other successful businesses so I am fully aware of marketing strategies to help me be successful and get my self out there to be discovered by new clients. I am fully aware of budgeting managing my finances due to my previous background in the financial industry.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in delicious homemade cakes. I am know for my custom cakes. I get excited the most to see children admiring their cake at first glance then getting excited because they love it !! It really makes me excited as well. I am very proud of how far I’ve came with not only baking but within my success of entrepreneurship. What sets me apart from others would be my drive for baking. I don’t consider baking as just a job it’s my passion I am able to be creative and inspire people while doing it !!
What’s next?
My plans for the future is to become a full time baker I will work full time for myself doing what I love which is baking.
