Hi Arthur, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I started in Pest and wildlife control in 2013, working for a friend’s company in upstate NY. I worked there until my family, and I moved to South Carolina in 2021. Once here, I began working for a local pest control company, where I became familiar with some region-specific pest issues. In October 2022, after completing all the necessary SC certification requirements, I decided to start my own company based out of Easley, SC.
You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
As with many things in life worth attaining, there were indeed challenges. One of the obstacles was completing the necessary steps of business licensing and certifications, all while settling into a home, learning a new area, and everything else that goes along with relocating a family from one part of the country to another. It has, however, been a pleasant experience having the opportunity to meet new people and be trusted to help them solve their pest control issues.
We’ve been impressed with Caliber Pest Solutions, but for folks who might need to be more familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We first want people to know that we are a family-owned business! My wife and I (and our children) are involved in some form or fashion with the company’s operation. While Caliber Pest is equipped to handle almost any pest or wildlife issue, we pride ourselves in our specific knowledge and know-how regarding bedbug infestations, where I focused most of my attention while working in NY. Many of our services in this area were performed in commercial settings. (Apartment complexes, high-rise buildings, etc.) At Caliber, above all else, the customer experience makes the difference when trusting someone with a home service need. Great (and timely) communication, courtesy, and honesty are all qualities we strive to achieve and keep. We are confident that holding these values will set us apart from others. Overall, we want our customers to be confident that whatever pest or wildlife issue arises, Caliber Pest Solutions will do what is necessary to solve the problem and do it with the utmost competence and professionalism.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I feel three qualities are most important to success:
1. Emphasis on the customer – maintaining communication with the customer, providing honest feedback and analysis, and providing the most thorough and cost-efficient solution to the problem.
2. Staying up to date on the latest techniques and equipment to provide the most effective treatment of the problem.
3. Providing service with the utmost honesty and integrity.
