Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started off working as an esthetician at another spa and the owner sent me a text at around 10pm one night telling me she was letting me go. I had no idea where to go from there and felt so hopeless until My husband looked at me and said: “Just open your own spa.” I knew I wanted to create an environment where everyone felt welcomed, where everyone felt beautiful and so Purple Sunrise Spa was created!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We had some difficulties with getting our power turned on. My husband and I worked in the dark building out my dream spa for over 3 months using a battery-operated light! We remodeled everything in the spa ourselves so it was definitely challenging. Looking at the outcome, it was more than amazing to see how well we painted the walls in the dark!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Licensed Esthetician, I specialize in customized facials, body waxing, and all skincare needs. I’m known for helping people get beautiful glowing skin and help build their confidence.
I am proud of the friendships and family we have created at the spa.
When I have clients in the lobby, they all talk to each other and hype each other up! It is the most wholesome part of the day.
I set myself apart from others by simply bringing in a nonjudgmental mentality into the beauty world! I want all my clients to feel welcomed and comfortable in my spa. They get luxurious spa treatments no matter what they look like, or who they are!
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
I’m happy doing what I love! I’ve done it all and there’s nothing better than coming in and being excited to see a client you’ve had for over 2 years and hearing about how their day has been and what has been going on in their life.
