Today we’d like to introduce you to Brent Moorer Gaskins.
Hi Brent, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was laid off from a Pharmaceutical company in May 2015 and upon leaving that job, I made a decision to be an Actor.
I signed up for a company that had a few casting roles and realized soon that they were a Scam.
I then put #Casting in the search query on Facebook, and a whole world opened up.
I applied for the “Sputnik I” project which turned out to be Captain America 3: The Civil War, June 24, 2015.
Shortly thereafter, I became Homeless but still fought my way past Doubt, Naysayers, Depression, Suicidal thoughts, Shame and Personal Disappointment.
I stayed the course. I had help mostly from People that I had just met, and here I am today.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It wasn’t a smooth road, but it was a Purposed and Promised Road. As aforementioned, I was Homeless.
There was a lot of pressure from “certain people” for me to stop doing what I was doing.
Of course, I could have yielded to so many Voices, but I only heard ONE and that was God’s.
With the lack of Resources financially, Transportation was a major situation but again, I finally did receive help from One Individual (Investing Partner on Specific Projects currently) initially, and my now Queen has partnered, and We support each other’s Businesses and Growth.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I define myself as a Business Entertainment Professional. I am a Union Actor, Entertainment Company Owner, 3X TV Channel Owner, Producer Film and Music(BMG Movement Music-BMI), Content Distribution up to 2.7 Billion in Viewership Worldwide, Film Broker, Business Financing, Credit Repair, Consumer Financing, Certified Covid Compliance Officer, Certified Master Mortgage Underwriter, Filmmaker, Director, etc…
I am most proud of several Movie and TV Series Projects that I have been able to be a part of with Speaking roles.
Jack Be Nimble by Steve Wollett is on Prime Video, Google Play, ROKU and Indie Rights Distribution(Master Distributor) which will broadcast the film on January 1, 2023 at 9:00 AM on YouTube.
I was blessed to be casted by Mark Fincannon for a Proof of Concept for a project called “LUSO:Torch” based on True Events of the Revolutionary War Hero, Peter Francisco. I play “Arthur” another slave on the Plantation that Mentors and somewhat Fathers this amazing Giant of a Man. This project has found the Avengers and put together an Amazing Cast and Crew that’s absolutely Magical! Produced by 7th Great Grandson, Travis Bowman, Directed by David Henrie, and Brian Patrick Wade as “Peter Francisco”!

And a few Auditions, which I am currently submitting for Speaking Roles in other Projects.
I am very proud to have been in Marvel’s Captain America 3: The Civil War, Avengers: Endgame, Wakanda Forever, and DC’s Black Lightning. I would be very interested in having a character role that covers a few Movie Deals as a Hero (Blue Marvel) or a Villian but something with longevity would be my preference.
I think what makes me different is that I am very defined in who I am. I Love what I do but I won’t trade any of what I do for Peace of Mind. I am Driven. I proved that through Homelessness. I am Talented but Coachable. I do VoiceOvers, Direct, Produce, PA, Stand-In, Extra, Puppeteer, I work. I’m Humble. Creative. Visionary.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory was being placed on the floor by my older brother, Joel Barry Shiggs, with a pile of Marvel and DC Comic books reading about Super beings, alternate universes, good vs. evil, humanity, and Traveling in my imagination back then, helping shape the Creative I am today.
