Hi Adrienne, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi, thank you so much for the opportunity to share! I am a Mindfulness & Meditation Instructor, Conscious Parenting Guide, and Energy Worker, as well as the primary parent to an amazing 5 year old son. I’ve been local to Greenville, SC since 1992, and have loved witnessing the diversity in cultures and communities grow!
My journey in mindfulness, meditation, conscious parenting, and energy work began as I learned to honor, release, and balance my own emotions. After losing my Dad to a massive stroke two months before I unexpectedly got pregnant with my son, I desperately needed tools to help me survive the grief, joy, exhaustion, etc. I was experiencing.
As my personal understanding of energy, emotions, and mindfulness expanded, I knew I needed to share what I was learning with other people. Having been a social worker in a “past life” and knowing I wanted to support people in their healing on my own schedule, Life in the Moment was born.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Between the pandemic starting 9 months after I started Life in the Moment, and a recent journey with blood clots, mold toxicity, and renovations, there have been a few waves to balance out the smooth waters.
As you know, we’re big fans of Life in the Moment. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I specialize in teaching people of ALL ages about mindfulness, emotions, and energy. In any private session, workshop, or group class I offer, we honor all of the “sides” of ourselves, no matter where we are on our journeys. Children are some of my favorite people to work with- their understanding of energy and desire to experience balance never ceases to amaze me!
Practicing traditional and unique methods of mindfulness and energy work, I guide people in their journey to experiencing more balance. I pride myself in facilitating balance in a variety of ways:
– Community & Family Mindfulness Night- a fun session for ALL ages and experience levels to practice mindfulness together
– Waves Sound Healing Journey- an instrumental sound experience with various crystal singing bowls, drums, chimes, and shakers
– NamastAyyye- an adults-only music-focused meditation with a mostly R&B, hip-hop, reggae, and Motown playlist
– Virtual and in-person private mindfulness and energy work sessions
– Classroom and office mindfulness programs
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Mindfulness can help us to balance our emotions, increase our focus, and even improve our sleep quality. Kids as young as 2 can be taught about identifying, releasing, and balancing their energy, in a fun, age-appropriate way! We all have different places in our body that are experiencing excess energy, and it’s so impactful to understand the ways our bodies try to release it!
