Exploring Life & Business with Gisemonde Moise of N’happy & Beautiful

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gisemonde Moise.

Hi Gisemonde, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
In October 2014, Gisemonde manages to convince her husband of her ideology of being beautiful by remaining natural with the incredible results of these treatments.

This is how the couple decided to share the treatment center experiences only for natural and transitional hair, creating N’happy & Beautiful in Haiti.

Testimonials and living solutions to different types of cases like baldness, seborrhea, and alopecia give more taste and push the determination of N’happy & Beautiful.

We offer purely natural products based on natural plant, fruit, and vegetable oil for adults and children aged 2 and over. Today we are happy to say that we have more than a thousand customers and we also help more than 40 new entrepreneurs launch their own hair care line either by using their formulation or ours.

Now we can say we are breaking through the industry the way we always envision it.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We started our business in our living room in Haiti, at the time with a client who only pays $2 now her satisfaction going to bring us hundreds of other clients. Our progress in Haiti was an easy process because our main focus was to help black women find their identity, we were among the first few natural hair care salon in the country.

3 years later we going to face real challenges after I left Haiti to reside in the US and started to integrate this new market with so many well-known industries. Hair care products require trust, so it was very difficult to be accepted here. Therefore, we had to be patient and persevere on our ultimate goal. We were still working like a typical family while trying to push our business.

In 2020 when the pandemic hit, I lost my job, so I didn’t have any other choice but to focus on the business and develop new strategies, like using social media as an outlet to introduce our work to another audience. Ever since the business has been growing and 2 years later, we are still working tirelessly to push our brand.

As you know, we’re big fans of N’happy & Beautiful. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
N’happy&Beautiful is a black own business based in South Carolina. Our mission is to help black women to embrace their natural hair while allowing them to identify easy and effective methods to take better care of their crown. We formulate plant-based hair care products, especially for black women.

We are specializing in scalp disorder, severe hair loss, and alopecia treatment. I am known as a militant to help black queen embrace their uniqueness through their afro hair. We are different because we are well aware of the diversity in afro hair (Textures, types, and all the needs).

I’m proud because I’m a black woman with afro hair that has the opportunity to assist other black women to take care of their crowns and provide an outlet to other entrepreneurs mostly women who launch their own hair care line using my formulation or their own.
