Conversations with Butch Rambish

Today we’d like to introduce you to Butch Rambish.

Hi Butch, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I started Screen mobile of Piedmont in 2012 after being laid off by IBM. After a 32-year career in computer software, I was ready for a change. I looked to buy an existing business but, finding no matches to what I wanted to do, I bought into the Screen mobile franchise system.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been relatively smooth. Working in the field and trying to build the business at the same time caused a few bumps but overall, it ran pretty well.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We are a mobile screening business. We can repair or build screen porches, window screens, and screen doors. We are a distributor of retractable screens for Phantom Mfg. which is the largest and best maker of retractable screens on the market. We install and service motorized retractable screens on porches and patios. We also sell and install many other products related to bugs, privacy, and solar control.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I like that the people in our area are friendly and generally easy to work with. I think I’d like to see the roads in better condition. They take a toll on not only my personal vehicles but our company vehicles.
