Today we’d like to introduce you to Robbie Randolph.
Hi Robbie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my career as a commercial real estate investor and developer over 10 years ago.
I went through a life transition seven years later, and I got out of real estate and started a new career as a personal shopper and wardrobe stylist in 2015. A year later, I added interior decorating to my skillset and I got back into real estate because it paired extremely well with styling. Now, I can make you love the place you live in, list it if you don’t, and look good the whole time.
I cater to a high-end clientele that usually has a lot of moving parts in their lives including multiple residences, both primary and vacation, as well as estate employees. I am able to handle everything from making sure the dishes are in the cabinet, to designing and ordering the furniture, rugs, and accessories to ensure the closet and wardrobe are fully ready for any event.
The majority of my clients come from my long-term relationships and personal referrals, most often by people I have worked with previously.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
From 2015 to 2018, it was a struggle for me because I didn’t know how to charge for my services. I felt it came so easy to me, that I was unsure why people would pay me for something that just came so effortlessly.
Then I realized I have talent, an eye, and a skill set that other people simply do not have. I hire other people to do things that I can’t do, so now I fully understand my value and what I bring to people’s lives.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Robbie Randolph LLC?
I am a full-service lifestyle management company offering real estate, interior, and clothing styling services with a team of three other people who help me handle various projects from the smallest closet organization to a full-scale home purchase, renovation, and design.
I pride myself on being a long-range visionary who doesn’t follow TikTok trends, but rather looks toward how a client will live in the house now and in five, ten, or more years. That being said, I keep current by going to furniture markets, reading interior magazines, and networking with my favorite designers.
I’m known for mixing antiques with new pieces, which is commonly called the “transitional” style, not traditional, not modern, but a good mix of both.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
My most important lesson has been to understand that my clients value my opinions, and therefore I must be totally honest with them.
It’s my aim to understand where they are, their stress level, and their budget limitations, and then take into consideration what they want to achieve.
It doesn’t help anyone if I sugarcoat that the sofa they like really doesn’t work in the room or fit the personality of the homeowner.
