Today we’d like to introduce you to Leeann Rybakov.
Hi Leeann, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have always been passionate about the health and wellness space. I expressed it through various means during my life. I took interest in nutrition, spent a lot of time in the kitchen, and loved to move my body in every way possible. Following culinary school, I launched a healthy snack food company called BuckWHAT Foods. I ran the company for 5 years, getting it into stores like Whole Foods, but all the while the business was running my health into the ground. After coming to terms with that, I decided to pursue a career as a health coach. I received my training and was off coaching. I have never looked back.
As a mom, and former stress magnet, I know how much both can impact our health. I now work with overwhelmed, busy moms to help heal their digestive health issues and regain their energy.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My career is driven by my passion for health and wellness and wanting to help women feel their best. I sometimes find that I am placing my career before my own health. As soon as I notice that I am doing that, I take a pause and regroup.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a board-certified functional medicine health coach. In functional medicine, we look at the body and mind as one. Everything is connected. Sometimes our emotions are the reason we are feeling bloated. The way we eat our food is as just as important as what we are eating. The same goes for stress, sleep, and movement.
I use a personalized approach to guide overwhelmed moms connect the dots in their lives, so they can heal and feel amazing. I help women shift their baseline and see how amazing they can truly feel.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I jumped out a plane once, so I guess that was taking a risk! I was much younger before I became a mom. Now I can be a complete wuss when it comes to physical risk-taking.
As far as other risks, I have taken many. With my prior business, taking risks was a daily activity. Now as a health coach, I fight my fears and put myself out there. I find that sometimes you have to take risks to learn, grow, and succeed.
