Hi Demetrius, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I started out in Corporate America working as a Manager. I worked 12 hours swing shift. The days I was off I work on my business to create opportunity in future. Sometimes I worked night shift for 13 hours plus and went straight to Stroman Home Improvement. The goal was build my company from scratch and sacrifice sleep for long-term success. My father died of Cancer, January 2, 2016 and that was a life-changing experience seeing my superhero pass away. Instead of depression or feeling bad in this situation. I took all my pain and joy to create something that he would be with me. That being said was “Stroman Home Improvement LLC’ My dad started this company but I took the name and took it to another level. I have been in business for 6 years and have created jobs and opportunities for family and friends. Stroman Home Improvement LLC is locally owned and family-operated company based out of West Columbia, South Carolina. We specialize in Epoxy Countertops, Bathtub Refinishing (Resurfacing), Decorative Concrete (Epoxy Flooring) Interior/Exterior Painting, and Handyman Services. How did I get to where I’m at today was simple- Three Letter word K.I.S.S(Keep it Super Simple). In this day and age, it’s a microwave society and no one wants to hustle hard and make the sacrifices for change. 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of the struggles I face was just getting that one “Yes” and I received a good bit of No’s. I didn’t let that discourage me, the No in my book meant “Next Opportunity” I continue to fight and push myself.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I would like to thank my wife for seeing my growth and vision. She definitely was there through thick and thin. My little brother ‘Antoine’ for quitting his job to come work for me and not questioning the process. Now he is Operation Manager. My nephew Jay Juvie was my venting partner on when I was going to leave my 9-5 job and work for myself full time. My father-in-law and my uncle from Rochester, NY. They were both inspirational and giving positive advice on my business move. My cousin Melissa P for showing me something in the epoxy world that I thought was crazy but now is opening doors and creating a new wave in South Carolina Market. My whole family brothers, sisters, and kids.
