Today we’d like to introduce you to Holte Avery.
Holte, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my journey to open my business when I was 14 years old. I originally started doing photography for family events, weddings, etc. When I graduated High School at 16, I went to Southeastern Esthetic Institute. My love for beauty, makeup, and photography developed throughout my schooling. I wanted to make women feel beautiful and empowered! The business Revenge Face began in 2019 and has since grown to what it is today.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not always been easy. Running your own business at such a young age comes with many challenges. When you are a young business owner many people do not take you seriously and often attempt to exploit your perceived inexperience. Overcoming these obstacles would have never been possible without the help of my amazing team and behind-the-scenes personnel.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a licensed aesthetician in South Carolina and Georgia. I specialize in makeup, skincare, and photography. I am known for my makeup and photography, which many claim have the very unique “Revenge Face” look. One of our main focuses are pageant, headshots, portrait photography. I am most proud of how far my business has come.
I believe what sets us apart is that we treat all of our clients like family!
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory would be always getting a hug from my mom first thing in the mornings. It always started my day off right and reassured me it’d be a good day no matter what happened.
