Check Out Jervay Muhammad’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jervay Muhammad.

Hi Jervay, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
When entering high school my interest in music began. As time progressed, I got with friends who shared the same interested and began making albums. Once I graduated high school, I joined the U.S. Army. I lost my drive for the music because I was busy gaining knowledge on how to defend my country but the passion still existed. Once I served my time, I got out the military and went to college. During college, I joined a nonprofit organization called “The Mission Continues”. After graduating college my drive for music started to reappear. I started creating music but this time around I gained interest in learning the business aspect of it. Now I run my own company and I am steady growing, learning, and assisting others with building and sustaining a strong business foundation.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has not been smooth. It comes with doubt, compromises, and sacrifices but it is all worth it. As long as you can create and sustain balance it will all work out.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a musician and I create music and produce visual content. I am known for being consistent and producing great content. I am most proud of having balance with my family and my business. What sets me apart is being able to remain consistent and overcome adversity.

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
What is most surprising about me that others may not know is that I balance having a job, 3 children, and pursuing my career. I also have a family business which is a clothing line called ” Dirty South Calabasas”.
