Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Krepelka.
Hi Anna, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I have a background in art… I went to UNC Asheville where I obtained a degree in three-dimensional design and studio art. After graduating, I moved to Charleston. It has always been my second home and I have lots of family here. I worked as a metalsmith for Urban Electric Co.
For two years before, I decided to venture off and become an esthetician. I went to Trident Technical College to get my esthetics degree and quickly after becoming licensed I fell in love with handmade volume lash extensions and brow lamination.
There is such a strong connection between lash and brow services and art, I love working with my clients to create what they are envisioning and make them feel confident. I have taken several trainings in all the services I offer and enjoy learning and growing to ensure I’m up to date and bringing the best services and products to my clients in this ever-changing industry!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Leaving my steady job with benefits wasn’t easy and I also found out I was pregnant with my son while in school but I am so glad I stuck to it. This career gives me creativity and freedom to create my own schedule so I can be with my son more
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Charleston Lash & Brow is a one-woman show. I specialize in natural-looking lash and brow enhancements. With every service I offer I take time to educate my clients to ensure they understand aftercare as well as lash and brow health because that always comes first!
I take my time with my services and consults to make sure me and my client are on the same page with their expectations. My most popular services are volume lash extensions and brow lamination. When I do lash extensions, I hand make each fan which allows me to adjust the weight of the extensions depending on how much your lashes can handle as well as cater the set to fit your style!
Brow lamination is a fairly new service that has really taken off. It is a great alternative to microblading. The solution used for brow lamination lifts the brow hairs as well as elongates and softens the hair for groomed, fuller-looking brows!
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love living in Charleston, I always grew up visiting family right here on James Island so I always felt at home here. I love being so close to the ocean and there’s so much to see and do here in the area. I love the music scene here; my husband is in a couple of local bands here. Our son who is two and I love tagging along and going to outdoor shows around Folly
