Life & Work with Anne Janousek of Aiken

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anne Janousek.

Hi Anne, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I lived in New York City for ten years after college and happened to live around the corner from Ramona Singer of The Real Housewives of New York. Seeing her dog, Coco, being walked along Third Avenue always made me giddy — spotting Coco bopping around the Upper East Side felt like such a fun Bravo sighting.
In 2020, while working as a social media manager, I started feeling burnt out and realized I needed a creative outlet that made social media fun again. After meditating one day, I had a moment of clarity: my love for dogs and Bravo TV didn’t need to be separate. I created Dogs of Bravo that very day, and it quickly grew into something far bigger and more joyful than I ever expected.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. I tend to prefer being behind the scenes, which doesn’t always come easily when you’re running a Bravo fandom account that thrives on visibility, personality, and engagement. Pushing past that has been a big learning curve but it’s also helped me grow in ways I never expected.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I work in the e-commerce space, helping brands grow and maintain their online presence through their websites and social media. It’s incredibly fulfilling to help brands connect with their audiences and watch that growth happen in real time.
I’m especially proud that Dogs of Bravo has remained strong for six years. What sets it apart from other Bravo blogs is the intentional choice to stay away from drama and create a kind, positive space. By focusing solely on the dogs and the joy they bring into the lives of the Housewives, the page has become a place where people can simply enjoy something light, happy, and genuine.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was very busy growing up. I have ADHD, so I was constantly on the move, trying new activities and sports and always needing something to do. I always felt a strong connection to our animals and formed really special bonds with them. Growing up, we had hamsters, rabbits, and guinea pigs. One guinea pig in particular — Billy-Timmy Morgan-Chambliss — was truly one of a kind and remains a legend to this day. I’ve always had so much fun with the animals in my life and have felt deeply connected to them. If Billy-Timmy were alive today, he’d absolutely be an influencer — and he definitely wouldn’t be surprised that I now run a fan page dedicated to animals.
