Meet LeAnna Jolly

Today, we’d like to introduce you to LeAnna Jolly. LeAnna was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Dr. Kyle Garbart.

Hi LeAnna , we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
Growing up I would have to say being totally honest was very difficult. I came from a broken family. All I ever wanted was the happy family like the tv shows from the 60’s and 70’s. I had very low self esteem and was actually very insecure about many things. During school I kept my grades average. Just making by day by day which was basically the story of my life. However in high-school I learned that I could have the opportunity to go to a career school and get a cosmetology license when I graduated from high-school. I didn’t have the high grades for college scholarships or the finances to pay for it. I always enjoyed hair so this could be something. Little did I know doing hair came natural to me. It definitely brought out my confidence and my personality. I love talking with people encouraging them and best of all enhancing their beauty. My mentor Debbie and first employer in the hair business told me to surround myself with people that I admire and want to be like. Little did she know she was one of them. To this day we are still great friends 35+ years later. I have built wonderful relationships with my clients. Not only did they help me professionally growing my business, many also encouraged me to be the best I can be personally and spiritually. Then I met my husband whom I thank God for. We have been married 12 years. He definitely makes me want to be a better person. I am truly blessed with how my life is now.

Let’s talk about your work and career – what else should we know?
. When I was in high-school trade skills were offered at Golden Strip Career Center. As a child I always enjoyed playing with hair. Could this become a career for me? Did it ever. In 1988 I became a licensed Cosmetologist. I furthered my education by receiving my Master Barber License in 1989. I was blessed by working in a great salon with wonderful women who not only mentored me in my career, but helped me also grow spiritually. These ladies have become life long friends. In 1994 I became a color specialist working hairshows and in salon classes. Most of my time was behind the chair. In 2007 to 2014, I opened my own salon. Although that had always been a dream for me I learned my passion was working with people, enhancing their beauty and encouraging them through life. Not the behind the scenes of running a business. So the doors closed and my team joined another salon. Together we had a wonderful team. Unfortunately with growing costs of small business the salon also had to close. So after 35 years working behind the chair it was time for me to step back and take care of myself. After having 5 surgeries in a year and a half my body was telling me to slow down. Not to mention the strain of standing on your feet for long hours, holding your arms elevated, working with your hands, leaning over can reek havoc on the body. So now is time for me. Although I still work doing family and friends. Do you think they would let me retire from doing their hair? I think not

Trident Health and Chiropractic has been a great friend to us and I know you’ve got a great relationship as well. Maybe you can tell our audience a bit about Trident Health and Chiropractic and your experience with them.
In February while talking to my sister-in-law Lori she told me about Trident Health and Chiropractic. She told me during her last visit Dr Kyle told her about a patient who suffered from planters fasciatis and how she received the dry needling treatments and it helped her greatly. I was immediately interested. Not only did I know that chiropractic care was probably needed for my lower back pain but if there was a treatment for my planters fasciitis I was definitely interested. Also maybe he could help my knees. So I made an appointment. Walking in Trident Health and Chiropractic Care I was immediately greeted by Dr. Tabitha. She told me first off I would have full body x-rays. Dr Tabitha made me feel totally comfortable with her warm caring personality. She introduced me to Dr Kyle and he too was gentle and caring. Telling me that I was in the right place. He would examine my x-rays and do everything he could to help me feel better. He told me about the dry needling treatments and the benefit I could receive from them. Dr. Tabitha made an appointment for the next day.
When I went back for my appointment Dr Kyle took to to his office and explained in great detail about the decompression in my lower back, the neck how it leaned forward, the hips that were turning and a leg shorter than the other. He also explained how different areas of the body effects our overall health. I was very pleased with our discussion and felt comfortable with Dr Kyle and his plan for me. Laughing I told him I was a hot mess! He said with a smile he could fix a hot mess like me.
I was definitely interested also in the dry needling. I had been seeing my podiatrist regularly for the past 2 years receiving injections for planters fasciitis, numbness across my toes and ball of my foot. I was in so much pain I was having to use a cutting chair to sit on while I was taking care of my clients. Walking my dog, grocery shopping, general walking was painfull. My podiatrist recommended surgery for April. I definitely did not want to have surgery. I am a big girl and the thought of absolutely no pressure on my foot for 2 weeks then 4 to 6 weeks with a boot. I just couldn’t imagine. Also the pain in my knees what would this do to them?
With my next visit we started the dry needling treatments in my left foot. This was something I never had done before but was willing to try anything. Dr Kyle explained that the needling would go deeper into the tissues releasing the tension in the muscles. After 5 treatments I could tell a major difference and canceled my surgery! Not only did I do the treatments for my feet we also did my left knee. I had been seeing an orthopedic Dr for injections in my knees. After several treatments on my knee the swelling is down and the movement is so much better. I can go shopping again! Walk my dog and enjoy life.
During these visits Dr Tabitha also told me about Biofield Therapy Treatments they had to offer. One especially interested me for weight loss. I have constantly had an issue with my weight. Dr Tabitha told me it was an 8 week program and I would loose inches. I do not understand all how this works but you relax in the most comfortable chair that massages your body while a magnetic field treatment is on your back and another is moved around your stomach. This was heavenly! Also she gave me drops to use before each meal to help with my metabolism.
Each week she measured me and I weighed myself at home. After 8 weeks I lost 21 pounds and 52 inches off my body!! I am wearing clothes in my closet I couldn’t wear anymore.
I just finished my 42 week treatment plan. Dr Tabitha did another set of x-rays to see how my body is adjusting with the treatments I have received. Dr Kyle was pleased showing me how my neck does not lean forward as much, how my decompression on my vertebraes has more room in-between them, how my back is not as curved and my hips have moved. Am I completely straight? By no means but I am better. I know this is not just a quick 42 treatment fix. This is a lifetime of care helping my body. It took 55 years of abuse and now is the time of taking care of it. Dr. Kyle and Dr Tabitha has the best interest in my health and well-being. I trust them completely and have definitely seen and feel the difference they are making in my life. I would highly recommend them to anyone having pain.
