Today we’d like to introduce you to Joe Graham
Joe, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Challenge yourself to be your best is all I know. Each day is a gift to be treasured and with this knowledge is great incentive, drive, and reward to share love and joy with the basic tasks that are foundations of success and daily living that helping others make their lives worth living.
I am an athlete that makes the most of opportunities at a local family tire and transportation service business open since 1953 in Camden, SC. I started in 1995. I learned love, family values, respecting others, myself and service character traits at a young age, as well as valuable opportunities along the way that help shape the professional we see today. I belive in teamwork, leadership by setting the example others follow, faith, trust, hard work, discipline, dedication, determination, commitment to excellence, heart and everything surrounding these principles of a well rounded, highly experienced champion.
I graduated from the College of Charleston, BA History, Central Carolina, Accounting and Clemson University, BS Accounting and enjoyed a successful financial service industry career.
I love many sports. Golf, triathlons, skydiving, gym, snowboarding, playing guitar to name a few. Developing strong individual athletic abilities, confident team building atmosphere improving the quality of life of others improves moral within myself and creates a positive impact in others. Healthy nutrition is key as well as proper rest to recovery and performance.
I enjoy participating in local, statewide, national and global community activities.
Throughout life, I have had many faith foundation opportunities to learn and share good news ie choir, foreign missions, outreach, helping study groups throughout the world.
Contributing to society in traditional and innovative ways provides opportunities to evolve the world in which we live.
Love; Patience is a virtue; Strength and Honor; Wisdom and Understanding are some thoughts I breathe each day. Have alot of fun.
Love and live life to the fullest.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Obstacles to success as an athlete in the transportation industry are the size, weight and volume of objects has almost gotten to a point I am almost ready to hand off the job duties and let another person handle the workload.
Challenges within the present transportation industry at a local tire business are endurance to maintain the high level of quantity and quality of people we serve in our local community and globally.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Readers should know my work focuses on paying very close attention to details requiring a high degree of precision and execution with each step in order to get the customers on the road safely as soon as possible. An example is making certain a jack is positioned specifically in the correct position to support picking up a vehicle in order to perform service. Another is carefully removing or tightening lugnuts at the proper torque tightness not to crossthread or break off studs. Operating tire changing equipment requires knowledge of the equipment and safety operating procedures. Maintaining equipment and keeping the business clean is another important task.
Another part of our work that makes us trustworthy is assisting customers requiring tires the opportunity to help them select the best options of tire pricing, mileage and performance options that best suits their needs and budgets. Forecasting investments in tires is also another useful activity.
Friendly, patient, customer service is important and helpful often at times of traveling discomfort and unexpected uneasiness. Really, in all situations, having a helpful personality builds customer relations and adds value to the services we provide.
We service cars, trucks, busses, rv’s, campers, dump trucks, front end loaders, shipping trucks, shipping containers, skid steer, many trailers, landscaping, farming, racing, airplanes, bicycles, wheelchairs, forklifts, split piece rims, atv, golf carts in the front of house. You name it tire and tube wise as well as repair and service, we more than likely are able to provide service. In addition, we also provide auto services such as parts, alignment, routine maintenance and special request services depending on the needs. We also provide road service calls. We work well as a team. Good communication is an important part of why we are so successful throughout the years.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love about Camden, SC is our families, relationships, and friendships are pretty close and grow over time throughout our lives. Camden really loves it’s people. We are very well connected within our community and beyond. Camden is a great small city to raise a family. Camden is growing. Camden offers a wide range of community activities from education, public service, athletics, social, community development, private and industrial opportunities, fine arts center, equestrian center, healthcare, financial institutions, public services, restaurants, airport and much more. Our leaders do a great job keeping in touch with the community and build upon each other making Camden one of the best inland cities in South Carolina.
I love and welcome the opportunity to showcase my gifts and talents in another venue as the opportunity presents itself.
As of today, I just do the best with what I have to work with right now.
What’s not to love about Camden?
That’s a sensitive question that requires a delicate wording. Camden is a already a loving city that must continue to love. Ways to love Camden, it’s people, welcome others, the gifts each person has, continuing to develop and grow and showcase these gifts. Make people feel more welcome here and enjoy life wherever we go. Recognize people in the community that make a positive impact in the community. Kind of a positive affirmation and encouraging approach to love.
Schedules and time are so valuable and time goes by so quickly, I really treasure investing quality time with family, friends and new aquaintances building relationships with people really matters. I am a person that makes an effort to create opportunities to make people feel important, they are appreciated, loved and remembered throughout time. What we do together improves our lives.
