Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Lamb.
Hi Lauren, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve had a passion for pictures since I was a little girl. It went from a hobby to a full-time business after I had my first child in 2013. I had the opportunity to quit my day job and pursue my dream career. There isn’t too much in this life that brings me as much joy as helping others savor important life moments. It’s a passion I will never be able to stop chasing.
Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Growing a business from the ground up can only sometimes be smooth sailing. I started with a passion for pictures but needed to gain camera skills. I knew there was a “look” I wanted to achieve. It took me years of hands-on experience, research, free sessions, etc., to finally find my artistic style. Then, I had to figure out how to market myself. Thank goodness for social media, word of mouth, and a husband who has always supported my Photography.
I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am known for my bold, emotional, and colorful style. I love working with families and children. I have recently found a love in wedding photography as well!
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I found my passion for pictures from scrapbooking when I was about 9 years old. My aunt scrapbooked, and I was obsessed with the creative pages and memories each photo preserved. I never lost that love and desire to create. My first camera was bought by my now husband and then-boyfriend in 2009. He saw my passion and has always pushed me to pursue it!
