Amanda Strine

Hi Amanda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Sensibly Sorted is a business created out of a true passion for all things home and creating a home that provides peace and comfort. I am a mom of two who is at my best as a mom and wife when I don’t let ‘things’ take over our lives. I love working with my clients to edit out what no longer serves and piece things back together in a way that is personal and useful for them. My professional experience in event planning, marketing, and customer service is something I bring to this work. Being mindful of the details and a commitment to truly get to know my clients is what it is all about.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Leaping into entrepreneurship is always complex. My biggest struggle is juggling this business and raising a family, but I am fortunate to have a huge support system surrounding me.

As you know, we’re big fans of Sensibly Sorted. What can you tell our readers who might need to be more familiar with the brand?
Sensibly Sorted specializes in decluttering, organizing, and styling spaces. Whether working in a small space or throughout an entire home, getting rid of the excess to put what is valued most front and center is transformative for every client. Each space is done specifically for each client’s individual needs and desires. Making a space look organized is great, but it has to function properly for long-lasting results. Our homes are meant to be lived in, and perfection is never the goal, but a peaceful home that isn’t overrun by clutter and things we don’t need stretches far beyond the walls we live within. My work involves elevating a space with stylish organization tools and labels. It’s about elevating one’s entire life.

Can you talk to us about happiness and what makes you happy?
My husband and our children, our crazy Boston Terrier pup, carrying on the tradition of pasta dinner on Sunday with family, a delicious cup of coffee in the morning, dance and movement (I was a dancer most of my life), a great playlist, and a continuous loop of my favorite feel-good movies. It’s all about the little things!
